  1. Casey lost some bat speed this year. That is something hard to get back. I don't expect much out of him and hope RRR doesn't force him too many ABs.
  2. It is not "doomsday" at all. Brewers will win divison-albeit it may happen the last series. This team is still a good team. This bad play may be a blessing in disguise because maybe RRR will finally make changes necessary before it is too late.
  3. What's up guys? Been a long time! I was wrong about Axford and Hart (except in clutch situations-Hart can't hit.) They are both doing well. However, this Yuni and Casey thing is so tired. I loved how these bums hit for about a month against garbage pitching and it saved RRR for awhile. Bottom line, they cannot be trusted in postseason-if we get there!
  4. Could be. What is worse is that the inning was long with a leadoff home run being the sole tally due to poor baserunning.I blame more on Sedar.
  5. I'm sick of Mcgehee yelling at himself every single time he misses a meatball right down the middle or swings at a pitch two feet out of the zone. Guys, it's over for Casey. He is strictly a singles hitter now that only has power to right on occasion. The dude has not pulled a HR in a long, long time. It's over RR.
  6. I guess I was right about Rickie. Ho hum. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gifhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gifhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  7. No major prospects given up I hear from sources. Mets may have choice of a between a few guys at end of season that more middling. Thornburg is NOT involved with this deal. Cash was main reason this deal got done. Next up is to replace Betancourt with an average guy and then go from there.
  8. I couldn't agree more. Cirillo is very, very raw, but brings the 21st Century into play. Schroeder voice is boring, his analysis bland, and he is not a guy that does much homework vs current opponents. This leads to a poor broadcasting effort.
  9. Casey misses popup last inning and double clutches this inning to cost us. Neither in the box score though. This guy has been atrocious this year. I'm done with him officially. I have been patient enough and held back my angst but this is too much.
  10. Hotties? Where? Like the hottie who held up her number for Braun?
  11. A 15 Day DL would be a nice idea. Maybe Casey could take a breath and relax a bit. You can see he struggles with pressure. Also, Green at the very least could get taste of MLB and would be be better prepared the next time he came up. (Assuming he would get sent down.)
  12. I love the optimism. Yes, we sometimes overreact. The manager never truly loses the game. However, it is the manager's responsiblity to put your team in the best place to win. I'm sorry-last I knew Estrada was a guy who only broke camp because of injury. Hawkins has been a setup man his whole life with a .59 ERA to boot. Estrada has been awful as of late too. You then have a speedster at third with the cubs best two hitters coming up with a guy who Ks a ton after them and you inexplicably pitch to them.
  13. I defended Roenicke last night. Not tonight. Estrada made zero sense. Then he does not walk Castro when you have an absolute speedster on 3rd? No Axford with lefties coming up? Wow. The only thing he did right was insert Gomez in there to run. Bad, bad, bad, bad loss. Reminds of the one we blew against Phillies at home in 07. Just beat ourselves.
  14. Hart is an ok player that people love to give benefit of the doubt for whatever reason. I can't win on here. Same happened with Hardy and Hall.I really wish people around here would learn that every time a Brewer hitter makes an out or a Brewer pitcher gives up a run, it's not a miserable failure on his part. Sure, sometimes it is, but the guy on the other team is allowed to do something positive for his club, too.Sorry a .200 RISP and .315 OBP from former All-Star doesn't do it for me.
  15. Corey has had 5 good games and the rest, quite frankly, have been bad. He just cannot lay off the slider away. He laid off it just fine in an earlier AB. And I don't have the ability to go back to the 9th inning AB, but I think the last one would have been a called strike, anyway.Hart is an ok player that people love to give benefit of the doubt for whatever reason. I can't win on here. Same happened with Hardy and Hall.

  17. I live in Chicago and my cell is blowing up with people laughing at us. Makes me sick. We won't score off Marmol so I see us losing in bottom of the 9th somehow. Estrada goes down when Saito comes up next week.
  18. This would be ideal but no way we can get Reyes. Prospects are all gone. Mets would be better getting draft picks than the guys we can offer.
  19. IMO, I think Nieves days are really numbered. I wouldn't be surprised to see a roster move very shortly. You cannot justify a guy with 50 ABs with zero RBI with OBP below .200. Even his couple of hits were just grounders through the hole and were not hit hard at all.
  20. Doug is Roenicke's boss. If he says that it for Nieves...that's it for Nieves with no questions asked.
  21. I think Roenicke has done a good job in making players happy for the most part. Macha's tough as nails attitude didn't work at all. He has also mixed the lineup well at times. As for the squeeze, I do not think it was a bad call. It just turned out bad because Wolf didn't get job done. Now today's lineup was awful. Why is Kotsay in? Good question. McGehee 5th? Better question. Nieves in the majors is Melvin's issue. He must have something on Doug or something. However, you still have to scratch out a run or two against these bums. That is what is unacceptable.
  22. I live here (Chicago) and I really recommend not driving directly to stadium. If it is a day game, it is awful leaving. A night game is miserable to drive to because of traffic. I recommend to either hop on Metra in Kenosha and transfer to red line at Davis Street in Evanston to Addison. Or you can drive to any red line stop (check stops on Chicago CTA website) and park nearby and take train to game. If you absolutely must drive. Take Irving Park exit east to Thorek Hospital (LHS...about 3 miles after you exit freeway after Sheffield Avenue) and park in their lot or in that surrounding neighborhood. You then have about a ten minute walk south along Sheffield straight to Wrigs. Irving Park a far better route than Addison because Addison two lanes most of the way and a ton of red stoplights.
  23. Locked and loaded for Wednesday. Locked and loaded for Saturday at Fenway too!!!
  24. I would love to have him but who are we going to trade to get him? Axford is on borrowed time and I see him hurting us later in the season when the pressure is really on.
