After making the postseason for the first time in 1981, the 1982 Brewers stumbled out of the gate, losing 14 of 21 games and putting manager Buck Rodgers on the hot seat. Ultimately, Rodgers was fired in early June and replaced by interim manager Harvey Kuenn, who helped lead the Crew to their first World Series appearance that season.
