Going to the opener and I was wondering if anyone knew when Miller Park gates will open. We want to see batting practice and can't wait to see the Park again....

The Brewers take batting practice before they open the park to the public.

And to think a few years ago the Giants traded us a young pitcher named Carlos Villanueva for........................Wayne Franklin. Thank you Giants. How about we get the sticks rolling boys and get Villy a few runs to work with at the home opener at the greatest place on earth Miller Park.

You'd have to believe that between Villanueva, Parra, and Sheets the Brewers can come up with a couple wins this weekend. Looking forward to watching home games again!

Did I mention how I HATE SO MANY AFTERNOON GAMES IN A ROW!?!?!

I agree, and I dont understand it. The Brewers play 15 of their first 25 games in the afternoon. What the heck is going on?

Going to the opener. You've got to like the Crew's chances against a frosh lefty at home in front of the excited opening day crowd!

Go Crew!!

As mentioned in other threads, I like the Crews chances this series by missing Cain and Lincecum. I just hope Brawny's groin tweak is just that, a minor tweak, nothing more. Glad that he played through it today, but didn't look good at the plate today.....

Looking at the schedule, it actually makes some sense.

First three games are at Wrigley. Day games, obviously.

Next game is the home opener, which is usually a day game. The following two are on the weekend, so day games make sense.

4/10 is a "getaway" game at Cincy.

Next, we have two weekend day games at New York.

Same "getaway" plus two weekend day games the following week.

In the final homestand of the month, there are two "getaway" games because of the odd short series with Philly and St. Louis and a weekend day game.

During the summer, the weekend pattern will usually be night game on Saturday, day game on Sunday. There are probably more Saturday day games this month because it will be warmer during the day (two of the three are away, not in a dome).

I understand the whole getaway days and Cubs at wrigley thing. But that does NOT mean I HAVE to like it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

I love it, since I work at home. Problem is, I live in Atlanta, so unless I pay for a TV package, I won't be watching the games after the Extra Innings free trial is over.

Ugh- I have a three hour lab in the afternoon only 5 times this semester. Tomorrow is one of those days http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

Working 2nd shift, I love the day games. But I understand others' complaints.

Also, I have never heard of Jonathan Sanchez. I hope we never hear of him again after tomorrow.

Well guys I am putting on my Fielder jersey for the first time this year. I've got Andrew W.K. rocking my speakers and am t-minus 10 minutes from heading to the park for tailgating festivities. Yep it's Opening Day. Merry Christmas Brewerfan!!

Oh heck yes another day game, I'm thrilled! I thought I was going to have to stay up really late to catch this one but this is perfect. Now my day has gotten a lot better!

Given the number of members who are going to today's game, let me just say I will be sorely disappointed if no one posts from the ballpark via Miller Park wireless.
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

It's $44.75 per month on Directv for 4 months if you order before April 6th.

On Comcast, it's $160 for the season. I assume it would be similar on other cable systems and satellite. I know DirecTV has a SuperFan package over and above Extra Innings, too.
