Dave Johnson?

So what's the deal with this guy? I have seen no mention of him on this board and he's not on the power 50. Looking through Huntsville's pitching stats, his numbers caught my eye. 47.1 IP, 59 SO, 21 BB, 3.8 ERA, and just 4 homeruns allowed. Still just 25 years old. Big guy too - 6'5" and 205. Where did he come from and what type of stuff does he have?

He was drafted in the 15th round in 2004.

He suffered from the Power 50 jinx earlier in the year. He finally made it on the Power 50 and then he promptly got shelled during the next month. So his Power 50 stay was brief.

If he can continue dominating until the next P50, he should get some very serious consideration, as well as a promotion to Nashville.

Johnson was even on the Arizona Fall League last season. The Brewers don't like sending starters to the AFL, as they've often reached innings limits, so they'll find various relievers that they like to include.
