Boo. I was happy to hear that we would be missing Moyer.

Have not seen anything for the forecast there but I'm really hoping for baseball. I have not been able to sit down and watch for a week now and tonight I can. So all I want is to watch a little Brewer baseball and have the middle of our order heat up!

The weather everywhere in the East has sucked for a couple days now, and is expected to keep sucking. I wouldn't be surprised to see this one delayed, but hopefully they can squeeze it in.

Weather.com says that it should be cloudy for most of the afternoon in Philly, but there's a 40% chance of rain starting at about 5 PM ET and they're expecting it to be pretty steady until after midnight on the east coast. Doesn't look very promising.

Example #24,567 that every ballpark these days should be built with a retractable roof.

Right now weather.com has 64 degrees and partly cloudy with 10% chance of rain at 6 pm ET and then at 7 pm it goes to 30% chance of rain. I would think they could get the game in.

Here's to hoping for a win and the middle of the order to come to life!

I'm sick of looking at Joe Blanton... can someone update the lead post?
I'm sick of looking at kendall in our lineup.....can someone upgrade us at catcher?

I have 30,000 frequent flier miles that I can donate...will that get us an upgrade? Or could we a least get an exit row?

Here's to hoping they can tee off on Moyer. Looks like he's struggled early this year -- 4 ER in each of his first two starts, giving up at least 1 HR, and only going 5-6 innings. He's got a WHIP over 1.8. Hopefully if the Brewers can be patient, they can get to him early. I'm just worried about Manny's nibbling coming back to bite him with some 3-run homers.

Todd Coffey has the most consecutive scoreless appearances at the start of his Brewer career:

08-09 Coffey 16

2006 Fransisco Cordero 14

1977 Bob McClure 11

1972 Earl Stephenson 10

2004 Mike Adams 9

1995 Kevin Wickander 9

1994 Jeff Bronkey 8

72-73 Ray Newman 8

And the most consecutive appearances starting a Brewer career without allowing an earned run:

08-09 Coffey 16

2006 Cordero 14

1992 Mike Fetters 13

1977 McClure 12

1995 Wickander 12

1972 Stephenson 10

2004 Adams 9

1971 Marcelino Lopez 9

And no, I don't believe in jinxes. I hope we don't need him tonight.

The weather looks pretty good from what I saw during the pregame show.
Thankfully it looks like the forecast cleared up over the afternoon. We should be able to get a whole game in, which is great.

According to Bill, Ibanez is an upgrade over Burrell in LF defensively.

UZR/150

Burrell: -7.1

Ibanez: -10.4

He's just an awful announcer.

Wow. I've heard this story before. 2 walks a base hit. Bases are juiced now. I think this is when the guy hits a bases clearing double. Let's see whats up.
