PSA Grading question

Posted

My future father in law has asked me to piece out his old baseball cards he had in storage and begin selling them. It looks like several of them would gain quite a bit of value if they were PSA graded. He has the 1955 and 1960 complete sets and the mantles appear to be in fantastic condition, as well as the Clemente rookie.

How do I go about getting something PSA graded reasonably? Am I right thinking this would increase their value if they can score a 7 or an 8?

Yes, It would increase their value. Having it graded helps the value over a "raw" card by showing that the cards were not trimmed or tampered with. Also, there are people that will only buy a graded card to fit into the registry.

I'm not a PSA member, but I think there is a membership.
