  1. We already can't use Suppan unless a game is completely out of hand, how would we be worse off to give Capuano a shot on the big league squad and just give Soup his walking papers? If we bring Cappy up, do we just have to pay him the veteran's minimum?
  2. He's on pace for 50 homers, 150 rbi and 100 walks. If a Brewers rookie were doing that through the first month, the site would shut down due to high traffic screaming his praises
  3. I just upgraded to a samsung lcd and when playing wii, everything seems delayed. Will the component cables for the wii fix this problem? If not, what else would I have to do?
  4. I can't ever remember a close game where our free throw differential went so much in our favor, especially in the 4th. Our rep for playing tough physical defense must be spreading to the league a bit
  5. Davis was the official who cost us the Lakers game with that terrible non-travel call and shooting foul on Kobe
  6. They are bringing in Bavetta? I guess its a compliment we made the NBA nervous enough to step in
  7. For the upcoming wedding, we thought we had a cupcake stand we would be able to use and it has fallen through. I'd rather not spend a few hundred bucks buying one. Does anyone know of a place in the Milwaukee area that would rent this sort of thing?
  8. My fiance lost her childhood dog when a mailman pepper sprayed her collie, that was tied up. He sprayed her, she shot off like a bullet, pulled out the stake it was tied to and got hit by a car. Maybe just walk the other way
  9. Huge win tonight. We had no right winning this one. Ersan was amazing. Jennings came up big. Bogut played hurt. I can't remember winning games like this anytime recently
  10. I can't believe we almost gave this one away today. The next two are very winnable against the Clips and Kings on the road
  11. I have loved the Player X articles in ESPN the Magazine since they started. This was the first baseball article but I've found the football and basketball articles to be much more open than any interview you'd get with a random player. Getting some insight to what players are like outside the lines is awesome and I'd encourage people to read these articles without the preconceived notion that its garbage
  12. With the Pacers up next and the Clippers on deck, we are staring at a 7 game win streak. We own the Pacers and the Clips are 2-8 in their last 10. I'd love to stick the Bulls with an awful pick to make that Salmons deal even better
  13. When Jennings and Davis got into it, that was the most intense the BC has gotten the entire season. It was awesome to feel like the entire place really cared about the outcome. Jennings talking trash at the end to Garnett was just sick. Him and Bogut are definitely the heart of this team
  14. Are we forgetting the Jennings isnt even old enough to drink and he's playing 30+ minutes for a playoff team? He's one of 6 rookies playing 25+ minutes a game. His turnovers have been in a decline every month while his assists have remained consistant. For him to be a very good point guard in this league, he just needs to shoot in the low 40%s. I think we should be considering the fact he may have hit the rookie wall and is running on fumes. The not long for this league comments are pretty outlandish at this point
  15. Redd and Meeks are a poor comparison. Redd came into the league as a slasher who learned how to shoot. He's also one of the top 6 or 7 second round picks of the decade. Thinking Meeks could get there is terribly optomistic. The Bucks drafted a guy touted as a shooter who couldnt shoot. Redd had a work ethic that had him in the gym killing himself over the summer after his rookie year, taking hundreds of shots a day to work on his stroke. Maybe Meeks didnt demonstrate that type of work ethic. Maybe the Bucks saw what they had and knew they werent going to give him the shot the Sixers might give him. Either way, its probably a trade on such a small level it's barely worth discussing
  16. Things have looked good so far with Blair, but it's by no means a knock on just the Bucks passing on Blair. If we are holding it against GMs that don't trade up or acquire another pick to take a guy who slipped, there's a pretty long list of guys in front of Hammond to point the finger at
  17. Gold will always have value, but probably not near the value it has right now. Gold and Silver both look terribly bearish technically right now. Buying gold here is like buying $130 crude oil
  18. I really enjoyed hearing Robin Yount's take on the entire situation and found it to be a much more honest statement than most of the guys in the HOF that have been so outspoken. http://www.620wtmj.com/shows/genemueller/82345207.html
  19. I just started a book club where we are reading a book a week. This week is Kate Atkinson's When Will There Be Good News. It started slow but has picked up pretty well
  20. Another close loss stinks. Tyreke Evans looks like the player I wish Brandon Jennings was. With 5 seconds left, rather than settling for a jumper, Evans gets to the basket and finishes easily. The comparisons to Penny Hardaway are looking pretty accurate for Evans
  21. I am probably more upset than most about the game tonite, but all this indictment of the NBA stuff is silly
  22. Jane Lynch is beyond fantastic on Glee. Of all the shows I watch regularly, Glee has somehow managed to be at the top of the list. As a 27 year old guy, it felt pretty strange telling people how much they need to be watching it, but everyone I pushed towards it has loved it
  23. So the fact that he has a competent agent who is out there doing his job should be enough for us to take ourselves out of the running?
  24. I was a History/Political science major in college and now work as a commodities broker. My experience with having those majors all comes down to how well you spin the education you received. Part of my job is to travel around the country and give speeches and presentations to current and potential clients. My experience researching, preparing and giving the presentations in school was a big part of why I am where I am. It isn't as clear cut of a route towards a potential career, but there is opportunity there
