  1. If there is anyone that collected cards, and participated in the Etopps program it will be totally shut down by the end of this month. Either get your cards shipped to you or get a Topps "store" credit for them. I just ordered all my Brewers shipped to me and took the credit for the rest. I only had 1 card that was undeliverable (they said damage which was a 2003 Roy Halladay).
  2. I bought a coffee at Dunkin I bought a coffee at Dunkin. I paid with a 20 and received change back with no issues. I owed my daughter (18 years old) some money for a purchase she made for me. When I gave her the money, she said what is this weird looking $5 bill. It was from 1969. Amazing how this $5 found its way back into circulation.
  3. To clarify, for some that are slow. The first picture with the bat is Scott Fletcher. He tried hitting with his hands a little bit apart.
  4. I did guess once. I guessed Bill Spiers. You realize I quoted from a different picture, right? There are 2 different photos in this thread. I know its hard.... try to keep up.
  5. I will go with Bill Spiers. Bill Spiers and George Canale looked almost alike. I think Spiers wore the gold chains.
  6. I stopped getting season tickets probably 7-8 years ago. I had the you pick 'em package and it was the first year the Brewers changed the picking of games into tiers. I could only make weekend games, and my choices were limited to start with a 20 pack with only 13 weekend choices. My children were getting into basketball, travelling basketball at that. basketball ended up 10 months a year as they got older. The final nail in the coffin for me was getting rid of On Deck. I enjoyed that almost as much as I enjoyed playoff Brewers games. I've been to maybe a game a year or a game every couple of years. Whenever it's a group outing. I spend what would have been my Brewers money by going to Spring Training twice, and other vacation trips. I haven't missed going to Miller Park.
  7. Thanks, I bought one off of overstock.
  8. I'm in need of a new mattress, and I have used Verlo in the past. I was wondering if anyone has bought any of the mattress that come in a box from Amazon. If so, did you like it?
  9. Really, not much at all for a .39 acre yard. Maybe 4 gallons of fuel, and a splash of oil. The same quart of oil lasts like 10 years. No need to change the oil anymore (just add when needed). Had my Toro mower for 19 years... and hopefully longer. The Black and Decker battery hedge trimmer is a must. The battery keeps from cutting a cord.
  10. I'll buy electric when the batteries are a lifetime warranty.
  11. Moving overseas and even vacationing overseas for an extended amount, I think the limit is 90 days will make one ineligible for Medicare. I don't know the exact number, but a cousin of mine travels quite often for a substantial amount of time.
  12. I scored a 16, but I guess some of my answers may have gone either way such as my hobby is genealogy. I organize names, date, etc. I don't do that in anything else in my life. I'm not anti-social or have an anxiety of being social. I just don't care what others have to think many times. I can meet someone and forget their name in 3 seconds, because I just don't care. My kids find it funny to ask me people's names after I talk to them to see if I was engaged in the conversation. My wife on the other hand can tell you the name of waiter or waitress every time we go to a restaurant while I never even processed the name given. High School is over... I don't care what most people think, I don't buy things to be "cool" or because it has a certain name brand on it. Successful people don't have time to judge me, and only "poor" people care what kind of car I drive.
  13. I used to have a you pick 'em 20 pack. I got rid of them 5- 6+ years ago when the Brewers went to the level picking of games. Now, I maybe go 1 or 2 times a year. Since they got rid of On Deck I have no interest in going to the games. I'd rather listen at home now. The Brewers talk about how they appreciate the fans, but I don't see it.
  14. I don't know if it's a Bears ideology or if its Fields. When Fields comes off the field and sits down, the cameras never show him looking at the tablet to see what just happened. He is always just sitting down seemingly looking into space.
  15. Menards buys lesser quality lumber than the lumberyards get. If one is doing a smaller project where you go yourself to pick out each piece Menards is a good place to go. If one is blindly having a quantity delivered to your house I would probably choose the lumberyard.
  16. I have to say he did have a couple nice runs against the 49ers. I was thinking before this game that this is the best backup we have, He showed no explosion before the 49er game.
  17. Other than PSA, Beckett also offer authentication. Both PSA and Beckett offer send ins, some larger card show authentications, and sometimes local sports memorabilia store have these companies come in for authentications. I would get the Payton authenticated if you're choosing to sell. You will recoup the value of that photo plus make it much easier and quicker to sell. Ebay completed auctions may help with your decision. Post a pic of your Payton. The Jackie Harris $5-$10.
  18. I haven't seen Dame play much, and when I did I didn't pay close attention. How good of a ball handler is he when he's closely guarded. I wasn't very confident when Jrue when bringing up the ball on a tight defender.
  19. Write RTS Deceased on the envelope then put it back in the mailbox
  20. I'm not really a grill and certainly not a smoker guy. The ease of it, and its so damn quick. I can cook omelets, fry onions, stir fry, bacon, pancakes with many of these things at the same time. Last night I made steak bites with fried potatoes. I love that I can do it outside, so I especially don't get the bacon splatter/smoke on my cabinets and surrounding areas.
  21. I always think of this Pete Rose analysis when discussing Keston.
  22. What's not bugging me is my new Blackstone 36 inch. My wife is happy she hasn't cooked the last 6 meals, and my kids and I are happy to eat a different meal each day. The worst part of being an adult is figuring out what's for dinner. Every night is a new meal from the Blackstone recipe website.
  23. If Cohen gave CC the credit card and was hands off I think Stearns will do great things. I don't think Attanasio is a hands off owner.
  24. I agree. I think the only way change will occur. Instead of having weekly garbage pickup and bimonthly recycling pickup, local communities have weekly recycling and bimonthly trash. That will push many people to think about recycling more.
