Cheap freezer needed.

Freezer in the garage went out, wondering if anyone knows of a bargain. Just need a 5 or 7 cubic foot model so when we stick iup on chicken breasts, pizza, and the like we have extra space.The best we've seen thus far are at Sam's Club, GE models, $150-190.

Craigs list, you might even be able to find a good working one for free.

I have one in the basement that I never use. I would give you a deal on it, the only thing is I do not know the size of it. I got it from one of those U-Haul auctions years ago.

We did find one on Craig's List for $50 (down from $150, lady said she did not know new ones were as cheap as they are), as long as it doesn't sell out from under our accepted offer. M2S, where are you located?

Seems to be a common theme on Craigslist from what I've seen. The masses are completely deluded.

Just got our new freezer home, and it was plugged in, so it is cold. However, our neighbor (whose truck we used), who is a plumber and electrician, told us most people wait to plug it in, though he really was not sure why exactly. He said he assumed it had something to do with it not supposed to be "tipped" on its side (let everything "settle"), but we did not tip it.

 

So, wait or plug it in?

Just an FYI for other's looking for deals on older appliances. Check out freecycle.com. People that but new one's put their older working one's on there so that they don't prematurely go to a landfill. And they are all free.
