Score updates by texting MLBGO

Granted, it's a little late in the year, but I expect it to be around next year

 

At any time you can text a teams name to MLBGO (65246) and within a couple seconds get the score, who's pitching, who's batting, and the count. If the game is over, it will have the final and next game info. I have been using it to follow the Twins and Tigers.

 

It will accept "Tribe" as a team but not "Expos" "Metropolitans" or "Natinals"

I've used it a lot this year. Sometimes it doesn't send so instantly to me though. Sometimes it's quick, other times a minute or two, sometimes 5-10 minutes, and a couple times has not responded within an hour, or eventually not at all. Weird.

Just tried it and it worked. Very cool. Granted, now that I finally have a fancy phone with internet and all that, I use MLB.com Gamecast to follow games if need be, but this is very nice for quick update without having to open up the web browser, navigate to the desired page, wait for it to load, etc.
