    Hot take: I thought Davis was fine. The only really bad call was Chourio's leadoff homer, but that was more the fault of the entire broadcast team because they weren't ready, and the sun made it tough to see how far that ball was going. I'm not usually a "screw the national media" guy, but hoo boy, the Brewers are really getting no respect when it comes to air time today. I recorded Get Up, First Take, and the Dan Patrick Show, and Thursday Night Football is getting more discussion than the Brewers. And most of the talk about the game is about the Dodgers and impending labor issues.

    My wife is happy 1) for me, and 2) because we can go out with some friends tomorrow night since the Brewers don't play. But Game 6 of the World Series is during my son's high school marching band Senior Night during the final football game of the season. So the Brewers better sweep again.

    I cannot believe that Hamilton hit a no-doubter in the 9th inning of the pennant-clinching game.

    Pretty sure the average poster on this board has very distinct memories of the last time the Brewers were in the World Series.

    Plenty of guys never do anything when they come to the Brewers. And with plenty of those guys, I can see it right away. Dude just doesn't have it. "Trash" is too harsh, but they just aren't good enough. There have been two guys over the past few years who were pretty bad, but I kept thinking to myself, "I can see something there. It's in there somewhere, he just needs to find a way to bring it out." Those two guys were Bauers and Joey O. Really happy for both of them, especially if this team goes all the way. Seem like good dudes.

    Even up 3-0, it still feels a little bit impossible to me. It's weird. I look at the Dodgers and think how impossible it seems to be able to beat Cy Young starters four times, how impossible it is to keep that lineup in check. But somehow the Brewers have done it. Still have to do it one more time, and part of me thinks the Dodgers can ride those pitchers to four in a row, but the Brewers are doing a good job of beating the paranoid pessimist out of me.

    Well, the rest of the hitters looked terrible. But if we score one run per inning and strike out the rest of the time, that's ok.

    Yeah, I'm happy, but not excited yet. The pessimist in me can't help but look at Snell, Glasnow, and then possibly Skubal and Yamamoto again and wonder how we can score enough while continuing to keep their bats in check. But we did it twice so far and had success against them in the regular season, so let's go!
