    It really doesn't matter. Let guys start getting some rest and be healthy for the playoffs. The only playoff race still left is for the #1 seed. Bye is a given at this point, and that's the most important. Also, have we not realized by now that the "punt" lineups often win?

    The Cubs have the season series against both, so in my mind, we won't hit "things just got interesting" territory unless the gap is cut to one game very soon, like within the next four games, maybe.

    Definitely going to make career judgments on a 21-year-old rookie who has actually been pretty decent at the plate, especially when on this very team, we have a guy who was the worst hitter in the league for a year and a half and has turned it around in a big way.

    I just looked up his career stats and was simultaneously shocked and not surprised to see that he's only played in THREE playoff games.

    The NL is a minefield. Any of the playoff teams can make it to the World Series. Nothing would really surprise me.
