  1. So Prince is beating Upton in every single pertinent offensive statistical category, and that guy has the audacity to not only pick Upton over Prince, but place Prince FIFTH on his list? Come on ESPN. And we all know the voters don't give a hoot about defense in the MVP voting - and even if they did, RF, in my opinion, is the least glamorous position out there.
  2. The storms that were in Dane County are going to annihilate Milwaukee in about an hour. Have fun!! Those were NASTY.
  3. My girlfriend and I have been having a lot of fun with "Just Dance!" and "Just Dance 2!". High energy games that are competitive and will make you sweat. Always nice to play a video game that doesn't lead to being a couch potato. If it seems too old for your kids, my 8 year old sister introduced me to the game, so kids will enjoy it as well.
  4. For the Always Sunny in Philadelphia fans out there in brewerfan.net world, here is a great buy from Best Buy (no pun intended): http://www.bestbuy.com/si...sc=All+Categories&ks=960 Looks like it's backordered as of now, but still: $40 for complete seasons 1-5 with FREE shipping can't be beat. Individual seasons often run $40 each normally...
  5. A little late now, but it took me slightly over 3 hours Wednesday night to get from Madison to Milwaukee. Left at 7 PM and didn't arrive at my parents house until 10:15 PM. 25-35 MPH the whole way ugh. It was brutal.
  6. And The Office redeems itself with a good episode. I thought everything was pretty good this week. Good plot (finally found out what happens with DM) , some funny moments, and I think Andy finally sealed the deal with Erin. Hooray!
  7. I agree wholeheartedly OWBC. The roads in Madison are absolutely terrible right now. I slip and slide crossing the road on my way to class wearing boots with good traction, I can't imagine what it's like driving on them. I have 4 wheel drive on my truck but still would prefer to not be out and about. I am all for saving the lakes by limiting the use of salt, but when the non-use of salt in conditions like this puts people's safety in jeopardy, they need to change their practices.
  8. 17" for me here on the UW-Madison campus. Fun fun. Ugh.
  9. Yeah, they are associated with UHS, who seem to have ample funds and lot of power compared to some other UW-affiliated organizations.
  10. Time fraud is apparent everywhere in the UW student employee system. One of my friends works for the UW, and she inputs 20 hours of work a week (at $11/hour mind you, good wage for a student) when in reality she works 5-10 hours a week, if she goes in at all. Her boss is totally fine with this practice though, so she doesn't get into trouble. She usually makes up various hours when she fills in her Kronos table. Not fair if you ask me (I wish I would have lucked into having a job like that), but I'm not going to out her for it or anything. She comes from a wealthy background too, so it's not like she even needs the money. Some people are lucky.
  11. I was one of those who rushed the court last night, and let me tell you, it was amazing. Those of you who watched the game on TV have no idea what it was like being in that building, and the level of excitement the student section (and everyone else) had. You can say whatever you want about the practice, but there is NO substitute for being there, and being in the actual moment. I don't think I've cheered or yelled that much in my life, I'm hoarse today. Beating Duke in itself is a special win, because of the reputation that Duke has. It doesn't hurt that they were the #5 team in the country. #5 is pretty highly ranked IMO and considering we were an unranked team, that's even more special. It allowed the Big Ten to finally capture the Big Ten-ACC challenge and handed Duke their first loss in the event EVER. Chances are we don't face as talented of a team the rest of the season (yes, I know all about Michigan State and Purdue), and we BEAT that team. So please, let us college kids have our fun. We stood outside in the cold for 2 hours, we paid for the tickets. Critics of the on-court celebration were sitting back in their LA-Z-BOY at home, and likely didn't have to move an inch the whole game. State Street after the game was also a great time, I don't think I've went out on a Wednesday night since my freshman year. So again, please let us have our fun.
  12. Ryan Evans has an atrocious jump shot. Looks like he shoots with two hands and feet barely leave the floor, but he somehow sank a few last night... Otherwise, he looks alright. Athletic as can be, but makes some bonehead decisions (as can be expected with a true freshman).
  13. Bad episode tonight IMO. Michael is such a moron, it is hard to watch sometimes. I actually get angry with his ineptitude (real word?).
  14. Mickey's is the best. By far the best value (in terms of good food for your money) IN THE UNIVERSE. Everything they have is fantastic.
  15. Lots of disappointed female fans in Brewer nation today. Facebook is blowing up with whiny status' (for those involved in the facebook game).
  16. Plus he was in Washington. Would a California medicinal marijuana card be viable for use in WA? I'm not sure as to what WA's pot laws are?
  17. I would hope he was not smoking then as the article states that it was 8:23 A.M. That's kind of early.
  18. It has long been rumored that MLB teams actually provide some players with pot while out on the road (or at home for that matter). They're much more comfortable with a player relaxing in his hotel room doing a little chiefing than going out, getting drunk, and causing a ruckus out on the town, where they could potentially get in a fight, DUI, etc etc., something that will be embarassing to the team (as well as the individual obviously). And for those surprised that Lincecum smokes...I took one look at the guy, and knew. People rarely have hairstyles and demeanors such as his without partaking in herbal remedies (may be just a stereotype but stereotypes are almost always completely true).
  19. Am I the only one who finds this a bit narcissistic on Braun's part? I mean, I'm sure it will be cool, but couldn't he come up with a better name (for example, Braunie's Bar and Grill, or something along those lines).
  20. At the risk of sounding chauvinistic and demeaning...WOOF. I've had better bar pickups than her, and I am no TV personality.
  21. I've used it a lot this year. Sometimes it doesn't send so instantly to me though. Sometimes it's quick, other times a minute or two, sometimes 5-10 minutes, and a couple times has not responded within an hour, or eventually not at all. Weird.
  22. Amazon is the cheapest route. Plus, if you spend enough, you often get free shipping. As for the textbook at the library routine, at any bigger university, there's no way you could get by with a single measly book at the library. With 500 students in some lectures, there's many who try to use the library provided one, and it's usually unavailable.
  23. If 55 mph fastballs are all it takes to get major league hitters out, sign me up. I'll win a Cy Young in my rookie year no doubt.
  24. I was asleep by the second inning, and groggily woke up with the radio still on in fifth to hear the brewers had cut it to 5-3. All I can say is I'm glad I fell asleep again shortly.
