So, I received an unexpected gift this Xmas, and got a Kindle for a gift. I know very little of the product, but as I read more about it, the more that I am intrigued. Just wondering if others have some first hand tips on using this? I love the fact that there are some free books on Amazon and wonder as well, if there are some other websites to look at for downloading books other then Amazon?

Gutenberg.org posts copyright free books available for download on the site. You then have to email them to your Kindle account for upload to it. I've used it. Easy and free. It's mostly classics.

I have a Sony reader. I use Calibre http://calibre-ebook.com/ as a content management tool, and it allows you to download newspaper and magazine content too, for free. http://www.mobileread.com/ is a good forum for ebook news, etc.
