Estrada looks nothing like the guy from that first Cincy game. Does he just suck, or is he already overworked like the rest of our pen? Probably a little of both.
I think it is a little of both. But maybe more that he is overworked, as is the entire bullpen because save for Gallardo, our starting staff stinks.

He's been used in three straight games now, with the first being his apparent intended role of "half-starter." So I wouldn't discount the notion of his being overworked.

What a joke of a call at home. Brewers have shown that they usually cant overcome 4th outs/strikes/etc. Another example today

Estrada has thrown 53, 5, and 33 pitches in the past three days. He's not very good to start with, but when he's working this much the results are predictable.

After what could have been an encouraging homestand, we're back to playing embarrassing baseball. Nice going, Brewers.

I think a lot of the homestand was kind of a mirage. The Brewers finally caught/made a few breaks and were thus able to win two series against the Astros and Mets that they just as easily could have lost. They were very close to being shut out twice in three days, and were not good for most of the game in which they ended Lindstrom's save streak. The sad thing is, for those lamenting the lack of 'breaks', I think we saw the upper limit for the Brewers this season when catching said breaks.

How is this happening with all the pitching depth Melvin assembled?!?

LOL. I turned off the Brewer game after the first HR and went back to the T-Rats, just catching up on the IGT now. This made me laugh pretty hard.
