Wow is Hart ever on a tear. Talk about unexpected production.
Almost as unexpected as Kelly Johnson! Good thing Corey passed him up.

Am I crazy, or did Bill just say that the Tigers are a small market low payroll team?
I didn't hear it, but I'd believe it. He spent a few minutes calling Fredi Gonzalez "Freddy Sanchez" before correcting himself. Maybe he's getting too much sun down there today.

Edit: Rough market size rankings...

1. New York

2. Los Angeles

3. Chicago

4. Baltimore/Washington

5. Oakland/San Francisco

6. Philadelphia

7. Boston

8. Detroit

9. Dallas/Fort Worth

10. Toronto

Ken, you might want to take Narveson out now. Maybe?

What happened there? I thought I saw Macha come out to make a pitching change with Cody Ross coming to bat, I look away and Narveson is still pitching to Ross.

Idk what Macha was thinking there. Right before he came out to the mound I was yelling at the TV for him to pull Narveson. Then he actually comes out to my surprise, but doesn't pull him, and sure enough Narveson serves up the 3-run homer. Then he proceeds to leave him in for another batter, so he can hammer one off the wall. Just brilliant stuff Macha.

Part of me understands Macha wanting Narveson to get through the inning at all costs so save the bullpen a little more, but he'd already had Villanueva warmed up and ready to go.

you know, I wasn't all that disappointed that Macha left Narveson in there. He was at exactly 100 pitches, throwing well overall (although clearly was tiring), and just needed one more out. Plus, he'd gone 120 pitches a couple times already. And the Marlins had done pretty much nothing all afternoon.

To me, this is an example of it just not working out this time. I'll live. At least he made the move after the homer and a double when it was CLEAR that Narveson was done instead of trying to get one more batter.

Eh, it's tied. Guess I'll check the hot dogs. It's a beautiful day. I'm not going to let this ruin my day.

That was one of those decisions that could of gone either way. Narveson handled him both times up and his PC was OK. I could imagine that he wanted to get at least through 6. I would of taken him out though after the HR. That way he only had chance to get a no-decision. Now he has a chance to get a loss.

WTH!!! the game gets interuppted for a Memorial Day tribute? This is not something that could wait till the half inning? And now Narveson is on the hook for the loss
