Cain looks to have quick hands and a nice swing. I'd like to see him get more playing time, but I won't hold my breath on that.

I can only say, in defense of my comment, that The Book suggests that 2.4+ runs are predicted with bases loaded/no outs

Well, I actually agree with that Funke; but at this point I'd send Gomez down to the minors to develop some more discipline and see what Cain can do as a starter.

It's a very small big league sample, but Cain looked good in 3 PA's. Should be as good as Gomez in CF, on the bases and by looking at his minor league numbers he is patient and can take walks, career OBP of .365.

Gomez and Parra both have worlds of potential, lots of raw talent. No doubt about that. But I think they can best be summed up as guys with all the tools, but no tool belt or box. Baseball IQ's are not very high.

What does that have to do with anything? Gomez was traded for Santana when he was in the minors. Is there a point to this?
