The early box score has Wil Nieves at third base and Zelous Wheeler catching.

Get those kinks out!

How sweet this is.

[sauveb]

Sounds like Braunie has been working on his defense in the offseason. 2 putouts and an assist in the first inning. Cubs 1 Crew 0 after 1.

[thablingster]

Sounds like Colvin was easily out at the plate on Braun's throw. I keep going back and forth on the MLB At Bat app. Ah, hooray, baseball.

[sauveb]

Gomez gets on in the 3rd on a fielder's choice. Goes to second on a wild pickoff throw, steals 3rd(with one out) and scores on a wild pitch.

[pitchleague]

following along on GameDay, looks like Carlos Gomez completely got in the pitcher's head, getting an errant pickoff throw at first, stealing third base, then scoring on a wild pitch.

I'd like to see more of that this season.

Loving that Gomez action there. Hope he gets on base enough to see more of that this year.
