Jeff Karstens

2-1 | 3.62

Karstens is doing everything asked as he fills in for Ross Ohlendorf. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings his last time out, but pitched well after first-inning trouble. Pittsburgh has won three of the five games he has started.

Chris Narveson

1-3 | 4.38

Narveson is still winless in five starts since pitching seven scoreless innings against the Cubs in a home victory on April 9. He did pitch well against the Cardinals on Sunday, allowing only two earned runs in six innings.

Brewers vs. Pirates - Weeks 4 Counsell 6 Braun 7 Fielder 3 McGehee 5 Kotsay 9 Boggs 8 Lucroy 2 Narveson 1

Brutal lineup today. Kotsay and Boggs both starting in the OF. I don't understand why Hart keeps needing days off. He's been back a couple weeks now. And Kotsay in CF again is just terrible. I don't mind Counsell getting the start though.

I was just thinking as I edited the lead post, Sunday lineup on a Saturday (except for Nieves, who I'm now certain to see on the real Sunday).

Maybe they want to keep Corey and Yuni fresh to come off the bench after Karstens plunks someone today? (That sentence is in very dark blue.)

Catch the Pirates, guys.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Boggs is in CF, PEM.

I'm glad Roenicke is finally giving him a shot there. At least see what you have while he's on the roster before sending him out again when Morgan is back.

Does Roenicke realize Hart started the All Star Game last season? There's no reason Kostay should be starting more than once a month.

Outfield FAIL.

Maybe Hart does have something lingering.

I don't see why Lucroy shouldn't be moved to the 2-hole. Even at his worst he's as good a hitter as Counsell.

I will be disappointed if both teams stay on the bench today. There will be fireworks, I'm sure of it.

Yeah I noticed that after I posted. I guess I was just expecting Roenicke to be dumb and play Kotsay in CF, lol.

The only thing I don't like is Kotsay playing. Hart ripped a double and had another hard hit ball lat night. Dude is never going to figure it out if he doesn't get consistent AB's.

That doesn't even mention the fact that Kotsay is garbage in the field and at the plate.

Corey Hart vs. Karstens in 20 PA - .105/.150/.158. I still think he should be in the lineup, but Roenicke has a reason for his decision.

RR bats his worst non-pitching batter at #2. It's a rule.
