Marcum is 3-0 with five no-decisions in his last eight starts, but he pitched well against the Pirates on Sunday. He allowed a first-inning run, but hurled 7 2/3 innings. Marcum pitched six shutout innings against the Mets on June 7.

Though Pelfrey left his last start in the fifth inning after taking a line drive off his pitching elbow, X-rays were negative and he should make his next start. That will come against the Brewers, whom he held to two runs over six innings on June 8.

Cubs tie it up 4-4 with St Louis going into the 9th. Cards let 4-1 at one point. I dont like rooting for the Cubs but I will do it for the next three days

Yeah, not so much.

 

If you haven't already, you got to see the rope-a-dope that the Cards' middle infield played on Campana to double him off first on a pop fly to CF.

CC starting again, there is no need for this to happen when we have other options.

 

My hope for him tonight 0/2 with a walk. I would love that line.

Normally I would hope for him to go something like 0-45 to prove to management that he has nothing left but since that already happened once this year and he's still on the team, I'll take that line too.

I just turned on FSN and thought they made a mistake when showing the standings. Seeing the Cards lost this afternoon was a pleasant surprise. Lets start this series out right Crew!
