  1. I've had U-verse (not the highest end package but one with Showtime/TMC, one wired box, 2 wireless boxes, middle of the road internet) for awhile now. First two years had the new customer package, was paying around $125/month initially. Promotions expired but I happened to be moving. They gave me two more years of a new customer promotion. Each year since then, I let the promotions expire, pay the regular price (usually around $225/month) for a month or two, then tell them it's too much and I'd like to cancel service. Then they give me a new promotion, back down to the promotional price (which has increased slightly to about $140/month). I've been doing this since 2014 and although it's a bit of a pain every year, I think it's worth it because cutting the cord doesn't really save that much in the long run when you add up all the services you want, plus the higher tier internet you would probably need to stream everything. I know other companies sometimes do this when you threaten to cancel but I've heard that it's a bigger headache and some companies even call your bluff. Uverse has basically done it no questions asked.

    Pizza

MooseJaw in the Dells has a pretty good Taco pizza. I suggest getting the thin crust though, as the thick crust is too much dough. That's funny, the best taco pizza I ever had was from the Moosejaw Resort in Park Falls. No relation to the dells though. But they got new owners maybe 10 years ago and I don't think they even make one anymore.
  3. My wife's favorite is Orv's plain cheese. She says she loves the "powder" on the bottom of the crust. I don't even want to know what that stuff, probably some kind of chemical that makes it cheap enough to sell for $2 each.
  4. Jack's regular pizzas are not great. However, Jack's rising crust are still my favorite when I want a thicker crust, better than DiGiorno. When I want something thinner, Home Run Inn or Emil's.
  5. You're right, that flag is pretty horrid. If you're talking about the logo, though .... they changed the seams on the baseball. Whatever. They also tried to center the ball more in the "b" and made the "m" connect with the "b". The ball location now just makes it look off. Looks like something you would see on a cheap Chinese knock-off.
  6. If Zack Wheeler re-signed, would this be the first time a manager has ever managed a guy he was traded for? I was trying to think of other possibilities but couldn't.
  7. I know it's "small sample alert" but I never liked Hader with the two inning save starting the 8th.
  8. Faria has shown nothing in the majors or at AAA to suggest he is anything more than a Wilkerson type player. AAAA guy who has little upside. A low, low, low level move by Stearns. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/f/fariaja01.shtml 2017 Faria says hello. In addition to a solid 2017, look at his 2018 game log. Reminds me a lot of Peralta. Sure it might be a high ERA on the surface but it was either 5-6 innings of 1 run or less or hit hard. However, it's not like he was giving up 8 runs in 2 innings every time he was hit hard. It looks like he didn't have a long leash and was pulled a few times after giving up a few runs and getting into trouble. If you let him finish those innings, maybe he works out of it and that "3 runs in 2.2 innings" turns into 3 runs in 6 innings. Of course the opposite is true and he could have given up even more runs. But if you said you could trade Aguilar for another Freddy Peralta, would you do it? It looks like that may be what we've done.
  9. That horse is still twitching. You keep on beating that thing until it's a pulp! Let me ask you, are you satisfied with the rotation right now?? Is it division winning quality to you?? I'll hang up and listen to your answer Dude, you keep saying you want a TOR arm but have you even proposed a plausible trade to obtain one? It's been made abundantly clear that the Mets are nuts and have an insane asking price on Thor. Who knows if Burnes, Hiura, and Turang would even get it done (I definitely would not be making that trade).
  10. Wouldn't you just be better off with Frosted Flakes if you need to add sugar to corn flakes? You would think but there is entirely too much sugar on Frosted Flakes. It's a fine line but it's there. Corn flakes mixed with another sweet cereal (e.g., Honey Smacks, Golden Crisp) is the bomb!
  11. what about the year where we were ultra aggressive and took a bunch of high profile HS kids, but none signed. Was that 2011 with Rodon? I think that was 2015 with Johnathan India (1st round 2018), Tristan Beck (4th round 2018), Nolan Kingham (12th round 2018), and Donny Everett (went to Vandy and sadly drowned). Edit: Also looks like they drafted Charlie Donovan, who went on to Michigan and also sadly passed away https://www.prepbaseballreport.com/news/IL/In-Memory-Of-Charlie-Donovan-One-of-Illinois-All-Time-Greats-7349628510
  12. And he's also a serial domestic abuser. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/golf/2019/04/16/tiger-woods-winning-bettor-criminal-past-domestic-violence/3487724002/ Seems like a nice guy. USA TODAY Sports gave Adducci the opportunity to explain his numerous arrests. "Everyone and their brother can go online and look up anything they want, and I don’t give a (expletive)," Adducci said. "Obviously, I had $85,000 to place toward a bet. I have the ability to make $1.2 million. When was the last time you did that? If you want to get personal, who the hell are you to call me and think you have anything to ask me about anything?"
  13. I’ve wondered along these same lines. Hoping someday he makes a return to the site. Maybe they are one and the same?
  14. Yup, one of the first drafts where I distinctly remember who I wanted.
