you need to make the playoffs, then get hot. the brewers did one but not the other latter. shame. i had such high hopes after the arizona series.

The Brewers have give up at least 6 runs 5 times in 11 games this postseason.

 

They gave up 6 or more runs only 10 times in the entire second half of the regular season. Three of those were to the Cardinals.

It was a heck of a season. I always enjoy the IGTs. It's a great group of people in this forum. I thank you all for sharing your insights and wit. I tip my cap the the regulars here. And, yes, I am officially clinically depressed that it's ending.

I've valued defense about as much as the Brewers front office, but this series has changed my mind. I'm at the point where I want to see solid defense day in, day out. And with Prince leaving, it's a good opportunity to revamp the roster accordingly.

IDK; it was 5-4 after the first 2 innings; I don't think the time was right to go to your back end of the bullpen guys. And by the time Narveson got done throwing up his meatballs it was already too late.

Yeah that "whoever to finish" is a big IF. If the Cards dump 4 runs on us in the 3rd or 9th, it's the same result. There just wasn't enough pitching no matter how you look at it.

The Cardinals showed why a bullpen might be more valuable than SP in the playoffs with all these off days.

The Brewers showed why SP might be more valuable than bullpens in the playoffs as well.
