2011 Clubhouse Sale Review

I was there at about 1:00pm on Saturday. Really disappointed. About 75% of the clothing available was NL Central Champs and playoff gear. Tees were 10 and hoodies were 30. No jersey shirts left. I overheard a guy say there were many more clothing racks out the day before. There seemed to be plenty of open space compared to years past.

The nameplates for the lesser known/unknown players were spread out across a table. The prices were posted on Post-It notes. Many of the Post-Its had fallen off. I'm curious if any people did a switcheroo with the prices. I think the laminated nameplates were supposed to be $1 and the thicker, more detailed ones were $5.

With the exception of playoff hats, the only fitted caps available were my size (7 3/4), but they were ugly and not worth $15. Lots of Brewers records and shot glasses left. I purchased an NL Central champs hoodie, a couple packages of Silly Bands for the kids, and a Hernan Irribarren nameplate for 5 and an Allen Levrault spring training nameplate for a dollar.

Oh Hawing, if I'd have seen a Piraten jersey, I'd have probably had a hard time not buying it. I don't know why, but I frickin' loved the whole Piraten thing. We called them Piraten for the rest of the season and I'm sure that will continue next season. I'm seriously a bit heartbroken I never saw that. Any idea how much they were selling for?

They were 70 I believe. When I was there Thurs they also had one Griffey Jr Seattle Pilots jersey for 70.

I was there on Friday about 3:00 and purchased said record for a $1.00, a Brewing Champions Sweatshirt for $30, a shotglas for $5, a white 4th of July fitted hat 7 1/2 for $15 and a 2010 retro 70s Jersey for $70. When I was there they had the 70s, 80s, and 90s throwbacks for $70 a piece a Piraten and a Chase Utley retro Phils jersey. The one jersey they didn't have that I was looking for was the Bierbrauer. Hopefully that makes an appearance next year.

Friday midday I noticed a lot of Italian (sausage) shot glasses. Made me wonder why the Italian was left behind. The other type of shot glass out on Friday was the 70s style block M.
