Schubert told me that he is in. So did Drick, but I think he'll post here to make it official. Hopefully we hear from Firenick, Jon, his buddy, and RightFieldCoder soon. That would put us at 11. If more than one from that remaining list is out, we'll have to go to subs.

Jerseys should be ready for our first game tomorrow. My printer is cutting it close but is working on them to be completed tomorrow. For those that ordered, please bring $23 for the shirts along with your league player's fee.

Here's how the lineup is looking for tonight. I had to guess on a few positions since there's some new players I haven't seen yet. Same with the batting order, for now I'm just putting our new guys at the bottom and we'll re-adjust for future games. Some of the positioning might be game-time decisions....

Our biggest question mark is 3B. If either Rightfieldcoder or Aaron can man that spot, we're set with positions pretty similar to last year. If not, I can move over to 3B, and one of the new guys can play 2B or nullbyte can move to 2B with one of the new guys playing 1B.

UPDATE: Nick tells me that Jon twisted his ankle and can't play tonight, so that would put us at 10 assuming everyone else shows, including his friend Aaron who we've yet to meet. Nick says Jon is lining up a sub to take his place, if that happens we're back to 11.

FYI- Rec department has notified me that they will be doing our bat testing tonight.

I prefer to play the infield. I used to play 3B but have slowed reaction speed like Ramirez. Now I play a lot of SS and 2B. I can do 3B if you need me to. Age sucks.

Well we weren't gonna go undefeated. So we got that lost out of the way. Now its onto winning 9 straight.

Yea it sucks that teams like EA Sports bring in 2-3 power league guys into a social league. I like tough competition but its rough when probably all of us haven't played since last year and some of their guys play 3-4 nights a week. We'll be fine as long as we limit mistakes.
