He misplayed the ball in the sun. The ball was about 3-4 feet left of him,he got a glove on it before it dropped

He found the ball on its way down with very little time to react, its was about 5 feet to his left, he had enough to dive over to it and it hit his glove as he was falling down. Not routine but he is a major league baseball player and the ball hit his glove, have to catch it

I can't get mad at the Brewers for "only" winning 2 in Washington but it's not going to do it. It's no longer enough to hope for the Brewers to continue playing out of their minds. The Cardinals will need to completely collapse as well.

Yes but it was the 5th inning and that is what matters, just like how you cant use your closer if it is the 8th inning and 3, 4, 5 hitters are due up

his ineptness is magnified when we need him to flex a little common sense most.

All along we knew that we needed the Cardinals to collapse or at least play mediocre to have a chance. They were bad for awhile but there is no reason to think they won't take at least 2/3 from the Astros this week, which would again force a Brewers sweep to have any chance.

 

I'm not saying it can't be done, the 2007 Rockies made up 3 games in the final 3 days of the season.

 

And crazier things have happened than the Astros sweeping the Cardinals this week. You just never know. But it might be best to ignore the numbers for a few days because they aren't pretty.
