My wife and I just put in an offer on a house. I'm so excited!

 

What day would you be moving? (Sorry I'm busy that day.) Seriously though, congrats! Exciting times.

It hasn't been all fun and games. For being a buyer's market, houses disappear quickly. There's been many times where we saw a new house listed, set up an appointment with our realtor and by the time we are about to see the house, it already has an accepted offer.

Awesome! Good luck on the inspection. Remember, finding an issue isn't always a bad thing. A lot of times it will lead to you being able to get something fixed and or new.

Congrats Game05! I know it's been a long road traveled for you. Hoping that people (and by people I mean the media first) realize that the real evil in society is not the police.

 

Not sure which bugging you thread this belongs in, but a friend of mine always says, "What are three positive things that can come from this?" So I'll put it in this thread:

 

1) I get to leave St. Louis - this week!

2) I can resume drinking Leinenkugel's and not feel conflicted

3) I get at least the month of June off and get paid through the summer

 

The downside... interviewing again, with not much experience in the new field.

Thanks all!

 

Memorial Weekend went well. We had rain for two days, so we had light crowds. No assaults, drownings, or anything particularly big. I had a few encounters for basic stuff and they went well.

First time home buying. This could go in either topic, sadly. I'm really stoked though.

 

It's been hectic but the smoke is starting to clear. Just have the appraisal and then the closing and my wife and I will be home owners!!

Well I last updated on the housing situation in the What's Bugging You thread because of the appraisal being extremely low and the sellers refusing to move off the accepted offer. Good news is that the sellers have verbally committed to the appraised price. Now to wait until they sign the dotted line to make it official.

We got a new router today and our internet is literally almost 10x faster. We went from 2.39Mbps down and 0.40Mbps up to 23.74 Mbps down and 2.11 Mbps up. This is also what's bugging me since we found out this was possible completely by accident.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

Jolly Good soda is making a comeback! Apparently, you can currently buy it in a handful of places in Sheboygan County, but I heard a rumor today that it's going statewide. They revived Sour Power, Cherry, Cream Soda, Grape, and Orange. I may actually drink soda from time to time if I can get my hands on this.

In 60 hours I'll be on a train heading to Glacier National Park. Then a weekend in Seattle (with a Brewers game on Saturday the 20th!)
