Gameday actually had that as a strike. It was diving heavy. When it crossed the front of the plate I think it was a strike, although Lucroy caught it at his ankles.

Woof. Definitely looked like a ball but I agree lucroys technique had something to do with that.

 

Hopefully the baseball gods don't look to even up after that.

Home plate ump apparently has a plane to catch. Lucroy caught that with his glove on the dirt.

 

If only the strike zone was where the ball is caught and not when it crosses the plate.

It still looked low where it crossed the plate. Watching it live, it looked in and low. Granted, Hickocks (sp) has been all over the place today but that was by far the worst call he's made.

The eye test told me it wasn't a strike. I hope that Cole has a talk with Martin about how to conduct himself as a professional.

Great play by Segura, but Rickie dioing the best he can to throw this game away trying to make that throw, which was impossible to get the DP on...

 

Rickie just kills us defensively...We got lucky.

Yeah, Weeks, trying to commit his THIRD error of the game there... that Rickie is why you are a pinch hitter at best at this stage of your career.

 

Weeks didn't have any errors. He made some mistakes but they weren't errors. Carry on.
