Locke has been pitching really well, but he's really getting a lot of inside strikes called. That strike 3 call to Davis was a joke. When you can pitch in there (and you have to hit your spot) and get it called consistently for a strike, there's not much the hitters can do. If half of those weren't being called strikes, this could look a little different.

 

Then again, the Brewers have helped him out a lot by swinging at a lot of first pitches and hitting weak grounders. Everyone is getting jammed today because they know the pitch is going to be called a strike. It's that way for both pitchers and I don't know if Hickock always calls the inside strike like that but it seems a little much today.
