2014-08-16 Brewers (Gallardo) at Dodgers (Kershaw), 8:10 PM CDT [Brewers win, 3-2; Yo with 8 strong innings]

[folly412]

Davis catch was huge. Got to pull Yo against Gonzalez and get the lefty if there's a runner on.

Can't blame Roenicke for either call for the 9th.

[TauPentaRei]

Let Gallardo finish this Ron

[razzzorsharp]

I would love to say let him finish but I am not a huge fan of getting KRod in with runners on if it comes to that.

[AZBrewCrew]

Hes at 97 pitches. I can't see why you wouldn't at least let him start the inning. Didnt Wily go 120 pitches a few statts ago?

[WinkelsasVsSoriano]

I hope they put him out there for the 9th. Have someone ready if needed (a lefty and K-Rod). If he gets in trouble, take him out. Otherwise, give him a shot at finishing. He's only at 96 pitches.

[TGOTJ]

This is not a tough decision at all. Gallardo has been dominant and doesn't look to have lost anything at all. I hate the "it's the 9th inning, so we MUST bring in our closer" mindset.

[ReverendBrewmeister]

Try to tack on a couple runs and let Gallardo finish it.

[AZBrewCrew]

Turner is the best player on the Brewers roster

[dlk9s]

Did I say Turner is terrible?

[coolcool]

Doesn't look like YoYo is going back out.

[Fear The Chorizo]

No way you take Yo out of this game before giving him a shot to finish it in the 9th.

[TGOTJ]

BTW - Kershaw is out for the 9th.

[jason21nl]

I *hate* the wave in a close ballgame

I just hate the wave...and the sausage race

[AZBrewCrew]

Ugh. At least let him start the 9th. Hes been dominant all game

[WinkelsasVsSoriano]

Doesn't look like YoYo is going back out.

Yeah, doesn't appear so. I really, really hope that's not the case. He's pitched extremely well, and hasn't really had any strenuous innings.

[AZBrewCrew]

I dont like Krod against Kemp or Crawford

[bthurley19]

If KRod comes on and blows this there is going to be a lot of second guessing, Yo has been in control all night

[DHonks]

Yo better be allowed to try to finish. My only beef with Ron has been that sometimes he makes pitching changes when starters are dominating and have manageable pitch counts. Last night I would have kept Nelson in another inning or so.

[owbc]

K-Rod coming in!

[DHonks]

I used to really like how Yost always gave his starters the chance to go the extra inning. Ron seems to be the opposite this year.

[razzzorsharp]

Well, it's KRod time. I would have also preferred to give Yo the shot but oh well.

[TauPentaRei]

Hate hate hate hate this call.

Even if it's 3 up 3 down. Hate it

[AZBrewCrew]

Please be good K Rod. If he blows this Ron should be canned

[TGOTJ]

Absolutely ridiculous "managing". RRR has warmed up 3 relievers in a game in which his starter has gone 8 innings using 96 pitches with only two 3 ball counts. It doesn't matter what the result will be, this is POOR.

[Thhhza]

Would rather have K-Rod start the inning than come in with men on base. There were also some hard hit balls last inning.
