Carpenter is tied for the lead in HRs for the Cardinals and has batted leadoff for a stretch this year and a lot in the last couple of years.

They scored 3 off the bullpen last night, the offense has been dead of late, but you have to take advantage of a weak bullpen. Just too deep a hole to come out of last night, if they can get to their bullpen with a lead, and Garza dealing and keeping the PC low, odds will be in our favor.

The walks killed Garza but Thames hits a line drive last inning that's caught and Garcia hits a crappy grounder in the same spot but gets through and scores a run. Baseball sucks.
