"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Told ya'll we were going to get bent over a chair today!!

Shame on Stearns for not acquiring an ace. Another pathetic opening day starter.

Midseason form on Opening Day! I love it!

The most annoying thing about this game so far is having an '82 Brewer in the booth. My God, get a new thing.

One of the greatest benefits of another WS appearance is never seeing the 82 team again.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Yount is a Brewer legend. His appearances in the booth will only change after his death. Might as well accept it.

Yount is not an '82 Brewer, he is the greatest Brewer of all time and a really great guy. If he wants to scan tickets at a gate every game so be it. It's Opening Day and he is nice enough to come back, great. Does it really matter who is rattling off platitudes in the booth?

I suppose it would be better if he'd asked for a trade in 1988 and complained for 30 years how much he hated MKE like most athletes.

There's a 15% chance HighHeat19 is sponsoring MLB.com's gameday coverage of this game.
