I think our D still has too many holes from bad drafting. Our D-line doesn't have 3 starting-caliber players. Our MLB has one player that is starting-caliber and only "ok" at that. They do ok with passing teams because of the Smith brothers and Clark, but we have been poor against the run all year.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

The defense has hacked it when it's mattered all year. Abysmal, embarassing showing, but that's precisely why this team was 13-3 and not 9-7. They got off the field in the 4th quarter a lot this season.

And if you can't hack it in the postseason than none of that in the regular season actually mattered at all.

Except they hacked it last week by getting Wilson off the field to win the game.

And no, I don't agree with that central point anyway. Your entire season isn't meaningless if you don't win the Super Bowl. And many of the best coaches agree.

The score is actually about what I expected it to be. The way the game played out was definitely not expected.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I guess it depends what your goals are. If you're a fan of the Detroit Lions then absolutely getting blown out in the NFC championship game is a successful season.

Well, that extra point/two point conversion took us from a 2-score game to now a 3-score game.

I think he means that the Packers weren't expected to get this far this year. And with some holes, they still found ways to win. They need more help for sure, but I take the year as a positive. Rather this than a talented Viking team that can't win...

Haters of the 2 point try will be thrilled to know the game wouldn’t be technically over had we kicked the extra point. We are now down 17...a three score game. Two scores is at least wildly feasible.

I, for one, am grateful Emmanuel Sanders wasn’t the difference in this game because all we’d hear on local radio is this team failed because BG wasn’t willing to trade a 3rd and a 4th round pick for a 32-year-old WR.

Need to score here to make the game closer than the 49er/Viking game. I need to go to work tomorrow.

Would have been nice for the packers not to crap the bed on both sides of the ball for the first half...they have flaws for sure, but this could have been much more of a game

Yeah but sort of like the missed FG and Ripkowksi fumble in the Atlanta blowout in the end it's pretty hard to argue it would have made a difference, we got stomped.

It was just a terrible decision. I'm sure it wouldn't have mattered but it just had way too many downsides and only one upside that was really unlikely to come into play no matter what.

That's a subjective thing but I find it an empty way to go about sport and life in general. Your pursuit isn't "meaningless" because you fall short of a goal. Mike Holmgren talks about this exact thing in the America's Game of Super Bowl XXXI. That he finds it a poor philosophy and doesn't want his players to believe it.

I'm just a fan but the 2018 Brewers weren't meaningless to me and this team wasn't either. They were realistically a 10-6 team that pushed to the brink.

Yep, this was one hell of an entertaining season. If you can't find joy in how the Packers played this year, I'm not real sure what to tell you.

Generally agreed, but being even somewhat competitive makes the 49ers change some of the play calls, and who knows how the game plays out. The fact the 49ers basically walked all over them with just the outside running game and not really any tricky scheming is frustrating.

I’m still pleased with this team. I didn’t know what to expect after the back-to-back losing seasons. Now, I feel like a championship is within their grasp if they go all-in for the next two years.

I really enjoyed the 2019 Brewers and considering their adversity faced I thought it was a successful season.

The 2019 Packers added a ton of talent on the defensive side, still didn't really get results on either side but found ways to win and stayed remarkably healthy and finally ran out of luck. I don't consider it meaningless, but I hope we haven't reached the point where this result it is a big success.

Aaron Rodgers is going to be 37 next season. He may never even get back to this game again. Each one of these is a major opportunity lost. His time is running out and we don't know what the future holds.

It was a fun week of anticipation and that win last week sure felt good. Better to get here than miss the payoffs I guess but this sucks.

The NFL can be very volatile and they could very well and probably will win fewer than 13 games next year. I still think Rodgers will have a year or two of MVP-level resurgence, not unlike Favre and Manning had late. At this point it's about making sure they have a shot each season, and a defense that's at least OK.

This was crappy but that defense is still a lot better than it has been. But I think it's clear the two best teams are going to Miami.

Officially cheering for KC! But the Statefarm bowl could've been fun!
