This is not a major league product right now at least on offense. I don't know what can be done but I keep hearing about how Yelich is the missing ingredient We have not seen that guy in a couple seasons so not likely. Bottom line once again it feels like a miscalculation by Stearns on pitching and defense to win. You can't win with zero regardless of how well you pitch or play D.

Looked like it was working fine a week ago. Terrible week since then, though. They are going to have to figure out how to score some more runs, or it's going to be a long season. Have a feeling the roller coaster is just getting started with this club, though.

Sean Manea of the A’s is through 7 no hit innings too…….lots of bad offense all over baseball.

I doubt the error had anything to do with the trade.

 

He needed to upgrade SS……they liked Urias and SD wanted Grisham.

 

Both were prospects without much major league track record……I don’t blame Stearns at all for making the deal….and as I recall there was lots of praise for the trade on this board when it was made.
