Hopefully Counsell is paying attention. His team is built to win games this way and he acts like he has Braun and Fielder in their primes in the middle of his lineup.

I'm sorry, I agree that you can't wear-out your starters early in the year, but when they're your best options, can you let them work a bit. This bullpen sucks. We have to start winning games and winning 2 of 3. It's cool Burnes and Woodruff can't go 100 according to Counsell... they'll be good and ready when we have to win 23 out of 30 to end the season to get the second playoff spot.

I don't think there's much that could've been done on that one. That's why learning how to bunt and doing it late in close games is a good idea.

I don't think the pen is terrible but I do think it's one of the most overrated in the league. You have Hader and not much else. Devin hasn't been right all year and JP has come crashing back down to earth.
