I'm still trying to figure out why anybody thought Senzatela would help the team. Got off to a great start but was lousy, home or away from Coors, since May. I think the two months in his career he was actually effective is outweighed by the multitude of ones where he wasn't.

Who knew a guy with an ERA of close to 5 the last two years would be getting hit as a Brewer?

Personally, I'm not optimistic about him doing anything for us down the stretch. There is our history of worthless, or worse, deadline reliever pickups for one. But he really is pitching very poorly lately including allowing 18 baserunners in just 7.2 innings over his last 8 road appearances. All the good things he did was early in the year.

Trade Values board has a losing that trade by about $21 million. Seems about right. Way too high of a premium paid for that return.

I don't know about that. Many people didn't even want him on the postseason roster and many thought he'd be better served coming out of the pen long-term regardless. The turnaround in his control has been stunning.

While true, Hamilton shouldn't be in any sort of platoon situation with those two guys either.
