Not surprising, Suter has been figured out by MLB.

That lead sure didn't last long.

Nick Castellanos talked to Suarez & Farmer after he scored. He tipped them off to something on Suter

"Hey, this guy only throws like 85."

How'd that work out for them?

Ha, who saw that coming? First pitch HR for Robertson

It's nice to see our hitters hammer mistakes every once in a while.

The pen is bad posters are nothing but predictable.

Not quite sure how to read this post?

same, I think it's a rip on those complaining about the bull pen.

blah blah blah

Great, got a lead heading into the bottom of the 7th. Get Feyereisen up and tossing... oh wait.

Lepay and his "pay off pitch" comments...

ugh. Just annoying as heck that he can't come up with anything else, or realize he can at leastgive it a rest every other time we see a full count.

Short term fix could be Hader covering 5-6 outs again. Won't happen but would be a better solution then holding our breath through the 6th and 7th every game.

True, but then we have to wait another 3-4 games before he pitches again...

Didn’t he just have another streak like that? Probably right before this one? :laughing Man does this offense need help. I feel like one of third or first absolutely has to be addressed this offseason with a real threat offensively. There are the bats out there to do just that too.

He has played respectable defense and did provide some production early but at what point do you have to look somewhere else again.

Unfortunately we don’t have another option. Green can come up and play first or third, but I imagine Vogelbach would be the first to go.

The time is now though to pair a legit bat in the middle of the lineup with Yelich and go for it for a number of seasons while Yelich is still young. That’s of course if they plan on keeping Yelich and think he will rebound. But that’s getting off topic.

It almost seems like his agent negotiated with management for him to be a traditional closer. I miss him in the fireman role.

Starter through 6, Williams for the 7th and maybe +1 in the 8th, then hope Hader can get you the distance...

Absolutely not sustainable but for the next couple weeks seems like best approach until another potential move is made

They traded away two of their better members of a bad pen. So while I like the Adames deal on the surface, it is indeed now a worse pen.

This guy with a 5+ career ERA is good? https://www.mlb.com/player/drew-rasmussen-656876

Yes. The guy has 32 career innings, come on. He had a very bad start to the season but has been absolutely lights out in his last 11 appearances, giving up only 1 run. He had the best arm in the pen of anyone not named Hader or Williams.

I don't know why "this pen is not great" is such an angering, controversial viewpoint to you. I still think Josh Hader is awesome and I still believe in Devin Williams. It's guys like Yardley (when he is here), Lindblom and Boxberger that make it a mediocre pen.

Not sure how anyone can be against robot umps calling balls and strikes after watching the umpires this year attempting to figure out what the strike zone actually is.

Definitely seems like something like this happened. Needs to get the save for arbitration reasons and for the career stats/legacy...

Feel like saves can be a flawed stat though, surprised there isn’t a better advanced metric yet (maybe there is and I’m missing it). But there are definitely games where the save really occurs in the 6th or 7th...

Suter is a legitimate multi inning guy...the problem isn’t him, it is the person creating the team making him a high leverage reliever. He isn’t a high leverage guy.

He has 32 career innings. Calling him good OR bad deserves a ‘come on.’

So Devin is not good because he only has 56?

Seems like we love these guys when they're here and the minute they're somewhere else we downplay them.

I like the Adames trade. I have said that so many times. But yes, Drew Rasmussen has a much better arm than Brent Suter.

One of the things that make Shaw so inconsistent is way too many moving parts in the box.

Big leg lift..feet coming in...hands going down..body dropping.

Too much movement.

You were good with overrating JP and his 19 innings this season so 32 innings is way more. This definitely isn't angering me at all but you did feel the need to post the top 3 bullpen jab after Suter gave up a run which is on brand.

Also, the pen isn't amazing but top end is what is important for the playoffs. Josh Lindblom getting hammered wouldn't affect a possible playoff game but it sure makes the pen ERA look worse.
