How in the world is having him pitch high leverage innings 4.5 hours apart a good idea for protecting his arm. I am really surprised they’d go down that road, especially in a 3-run game.

I've been saying it all year. The management of Hader and the bullpen in general has been a mystery. If Hader was available twice in one day why can't he ever pitch more than one inning in one day?? It makes zero sense.

There is none and it is complete garbage. For a team like the Brewers, with zero chance/willingness to resign Hader for FA money, why would they care to please him? If he pitches like this all the way to FA there is no way the Brewers pay him.
