Very early to make 3 changes to OL, but man were they bad to start the game. Mental and physical mistakes on first two drives. Seems to be working, they’re getting some push now.

It was an issue last year as well.

Great arm but not good at reading defenses.

Seemed like some poor plays run on those passes, running guys right into traffic over the middle and hoping to thread one in there. We are going to need the defense to play great all game in this one, doesn't feel like we will score 20.

He threw to Ferguson on 3rd, he wasn’t open. Going back and looking at the reply he really had nowhere to go with it on 3rd.

I wish we’d overhaul our offensive coaching staff. Fire them all. Start fresh. Im just tired of what we think is offense. Im sure they’ll run it down Nebraska’s throat and many will think we are good but this is just awful.

I think both of those were sucker looks to get Mertz to think a certain route would be open but after the snap the dropped a guy into the route.

I know we have a lot of talented, athletic guys, but man this offense looks as vanilla as one could possibly be... so far. I sure hope this is just "this is our first game" look.

They did just sustain a 15 play drive and are moving it again. With the PSU secondary being the strength of their D, just pounding it at them seems viable this week.
