It's Week 2 and I'm already at "I don't really care if we look good against a team like this." I'm just Packer-fatigued at this point I think. It's better than losing I guess, lol.

I'm definitely Packer fatigued. I'm having a lot harder time getting fired up for this season. Just feels like the Bucks and Brewers were down for so long and the Packers were the "look at me!" team of Wisconsin sports. Now that they aren't overshadowing the others anymore, I feel more of a "great, then win something already" attitude when it comes to the Packers for some reason.

I didn't watch Week 1 and I don't see myself watching many games live unless the matchup is really compelling and the Packers get it going. Been doing a lot of home reno, I had it on in the background so I knew how it was going overall but I didn't really see more than a couple plays.

I have noticed after the Bucks run that getting excited for regular season sports has been really hard. I've been sorta bored in a way by the Brewers being 10 games up that it's just sort of a wait for October for me.

I am not sure the Bucks/Brewers have a ton to do with the general Packers fatigue many are feeling. It doesn't help when the year starts and there are a million scenarios to be worse than last year and the only way to have a good season is winning it all. The media attention surrounding the team cannot possibly get any more insufferable. It was annoying before they kept coming up short, it was annoying before this offseason with Rodgers. Everyone knows the entire season is going to be endless garbage attempts to stir the Rodgers pot and annoying click bait articles. We all know the upcoming offseason is going to be insufferable drama even if we win the Super Bowl. Likely going to end with a HOF QB being traded. We then will have a 2022 season with the media constantly pointing out what Rodgers is doing and comparing how much Love sucks compared to him.

At this point you can't watch or read about the Packers without it being negative.

Glad because I thought that feeling was just me. I skipped golf to watch the game and right at the start I regretted the decision. I just.....didn't care. Maybe some because no matter how well they do in the regular season it's no indication of how well they'll do in the playoffs. And this team isn't like the Lions where just making the playoffs is an achievement. And moving games all over the place and not just Sunday doesn't help, either.

Recording games is the way to go. The button to fast forward on my controller is 30 seconds. I hit it as they’re tackled and I’m right back into the next play. No commercial breaks. No halftime breaks. Just simply the football. And a lot less dumb takes by announcers. It’s basically the only way I watch Packers and Badgers these days.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Does anyone think Rodgers gets booed on Monday? If not, then what if we have a dud first half like last week and he just looks not right?

If this happened not after the current offseason, I would fully expect a Packers blowout this week. It seems like that will happen on paper but Rodgers just looked so bad last week. I think best case scenario it takes him 3-4 games to get back to maybe 90% form. The only way we get the blowout we want is if the running game just blows the Lions away, and that's certainly possible and what we should be looking to do this week in my opinion.

No way he'd get booed. Standing ovation more likely. We're a fickle bunch, but not that fickle. Next season visiting as a Raider or something? Yeah probably.

I think you seriously underestimate the ability for this fanbase to feel betrayed annoyed by diva-like behavior. I fully expect him to receive a mixed reception at best.

Don't remember the exact game, but didn't they get booed going into the tunnel after a particularly brutal first half in like 2018 or 2019?

If they don't get off to a fast start, or do something extra boneheaded early on, I almost expect the Lambeau faithful to voice their disapproval...unless they're too busy tweeting it.

This is the same fanbase that booed Aaron Rodgers for Brett Favre retiring and then getting traded. Something that had nothing to do with Rodgers.

I am sure he will get boo birds, but I would also guess most with applaud him as most know the reason for the last decade plus is certainly not Aaron Rodgers. That and the fact he is the starting QB and is really good...so usually you get cheers.

Booing the team at half because they suck is a far cry from booing Rodgers during introductions.

I'd fully expect a standing O from about half the stadium...if he gets introduced, both because it's probably his last year and because the team needs a bit of a pick-me-up. I'll be completely shocked if he were booed pregame. And I personally don't care for him at all.

I mostly agree with this but it's just not Rodgers that needs to get back to form. These first three games, maybe four, is the first string's preseason essentially. I'd expect to win Monday, but by no means will it be a cakewalk. And with SF and PIT next, this thing could easily start at 1-3. As far as getting booed, I wouldn't expect it during pregame introductions but if he plays the way he did against the Saints in the first half, I wouldn't be surprised if the boos start raining down heading into the tunnel at halftime.

[sarcasm]What a delight to see the Panthers completely handling the Saints so far today, 17-0 with about 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Feels good.[/sarcasm]

Could be some gnarly weather in GB tonight. AJ Dillon time.

The Packers and Rodgers have typically responded very well in games following losses, so I fully expect the offense to drop 40 on the Lions. The real question is whether the defense is going to give up 45.

That’s pretty much where I’m at too, although I can’t recall a Rodgers-lead team ever taking such a bad early season loss. It’s really cast a cloud of uncertainty over this season … at least until they notch a couple wins.

If they lose, I would bet on it. If they win by a healthy margin, he’ll revert to hero status for at least the next 6 days.

You would have to go back to 2014 to find the last time they lost their first game, which was a pretty bad one to the Seahawks. Of course that year they were on the way to the Super Bowl if not for a ridiculous turn of events and boneheaded plays.

They were pretty badly destroyed by Seattle in the opener in 2014. Not quite to the level of last week's hapless embarrassment, but beat up and the game was never really in question. That was a superior opponent, but they ended up having a very good season (and should have won their rematch.)

Projections don't seem to care the Packers lost big (& looked absolutely turrrible doing so) in week one.

NFC North Division Odds...

538: GB 47% | MIN 26% | CHI 21% | DET 6%

Football Outsiders: GB 46.3% | MIN 27.1% | CHI 19.2% | DET 7.4%

That said, still almost kind of a must win game tonight with @SF & vs PIT next up. Coming out of the first 4 games 0-4 would be really entertaining as someone who is more of a schadenfreude fan than a Packers one, 1-3 they're still probably fine but the grumbling will likely drown out anyone trying to say so, 2-2 would be the most boring outcome & 3-1 might almost get the fanbase thinking about being excited again.
