Williams is having problems?

Last statement is spot on. As I mentioned after the game, the ABs in the last 3-4 innings were IMO horrible.

No, I meant the different areas of the team: starting pitching, relief pitching, and hitting. I could throw in fielding too.

The Brewers formula for success is (1) exceptional starting pitching, (2) Lockdown bullpen in the 7th, 8th, and 9th innings, and (3) enough offense to win when pieces 1 and 2 do their jobs.

The starting pitching has been weaker than expected due to injuries and under performance. The depth of the bullpen has been affected by injuries, and, in addition to Hader’s recent problems, Boxberger has had a couple of rough outings recently. The middle of the bullpen has often let small deficits turn into bigger ones and is being called on to cover a lot of innings because the starters aren’t going deep into games.

The offense has been prone to droughts that turn winnable games into losses even with excellent pitching. Some times you have to be able to win a game 8-6, and the Brewers haven’t had many of those.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.
