no one will remember the Eagles 4th down conversion on that drive

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

The difference in offensive coaching and creativity from what we're used to seeing as packer fans is rather startling.

MLF is light years behind either of these guys.

Siriani seems pretty cocky.

Kinda like seeing him knocked down a peg

This didn't age well...

Story of my life...

Although in this case I really don't care who won. Just like to see some creative offense especially after what we had to suffer through this year.

As someone that didn't have a dog in the fight, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that an otherwise great game, maybe the greatest Super Bowl ever played, was tainted by an extremely weak sauce holding call. A grab of the jersey that lasted about a quarter of a second, didn't impede the progress of Juju's ability to run his route and had no effect on the result of the play....there are some calls you just have to let go, especially in the Super Bowl. Then again, the Eagles would've had more time to answer back if they hadn't needlessly burned a timeout to avoid a delay of game penalty that resulted in a field goal they were going to kick anyway, and you can't give away points fumbling the ball away where Hurts was untouched.

There really isn't any player on the Eagles I have a problem with. I think their fans are trash so therefore I am happy that they lost.

Pretty disingenuous to say it cost the Eagles the game as their fans are saying. Without the penalty, KC still kicks a chip shot FG to take the 3 point lead. Yes, Philly would have had plenty of time to try and tie things up or even take the lead - about 2 minutes. But it can't be assumed. Their protests would hold much more validity if they had the lead when the penalty occured, not a tie game with KC already in FG range on a drive that resulted in a shorter FG.

All in all, a really entertaining game that ended sort of meh due to the gimme field goal - but the Philly defense has only themselves to blame not being able to stop KC at all in the 2nd half.  The game had the look of a blowout in the other direction even with Hurts handing the Chiefs a touchdown with that 1st half fumble.  KC adjusted and their oline played fantastic in the 2nd half, but Philly's D didn't have an answer for the adjustments the Chiefs made with route concepts on the fake crossing/motion action that left guys running wide open in the red zone for easy scores.

It was a hold.  There was a pretty strong grab a the point of his pivot and his hand was on the waist for a bit after, which clearly slowed his progression out of the cut and into the route.  Not an egregious call, but pretty clear none the less, IMO.  I doubt the call changed much either.

Commercials were pretty blah too.  The menopause one was really odd... I wouldn't expect to see that as a SB commercial (cost and audience). It kind of reminded me about the Pandora ad where the party is going on and the music is interrupted by a constipation commercial (thus encouraging you to buy the Pandora service so ads don't ruin the mood). 😂

Ben Stiller and Pepsi zero won the day, IMO.  I was hoping more out of Tony Romo as Carl the Caddyshack groundskeeper.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

The half time show like the most recent seem to be blah at best.

Question at what point is a song just a computer generated song when using auto tune?

They need to back to just using classic American rock bands.

Remember when Petty was on one year?  Even Prince was tolerable.

Questions are a burden.   And answers a prison for one's self.

There aren't any left.

True... Rock 'n' Roll is pretty much extinct.  Metal is the only true music nowadays.

Please don't give them any ideas about letting over the hill Metallica play at the Super Bowl...... Did we not learn anything about the lifeless Dr. Dre last year?

Def Leppard came out with a new album last year and is/was touring.  A friend of mine is one of their guitar techs, and another guy who was in my friend's Def Leppard tribute band is also a guitar tech for them and primary backup - so if one of the guitarists can't go, he gets called into wardrobe.

And Def Leppard is cool with the 20-somethings.

Heard there are supposed to be some pretty good commercials for the Rihanna concert tonight.

Who knows, a football game might even happen at some point too.

I pay so little attention to (read: give not a damn about) pop culture that 75% of the commercials feature "celebrities" who I have no idea who they are.
