Minor League Spring Training Games - 2023

Brewer Fanatic Contributor

It looks like @BrewersPD will share the daily MILB spring training line-ups again this year, though I suppose we may only see about two weeks worth of games, given that the AAA Nashville Sounds will start for real on March 31st. Other full season affiliates will commence on April 7th. Enjoy!

I've not noted any particular surprise in today's lineups, so I'll just note the return-to-action of players who were injured the last we saw them:

  • Patricio Aquino - RHP - 19 - last pitched July 29, 2022
  • Juan Geraldo - RHP - 21 - last pitched August 21, 2021
  • Oswal Leones - OF - 22 - last played August 20, 2022
  • Darlin Lora - C - 19 - last played July 23, 2022
  • Edrian Robinson - RHP - 21 - last pitched June 16, 2022
  • Either Mario Perez (RHP - 20 - last pitched September 18, 2021) has returned from injury or that's actually Anthony Perez in action

Are the box scores to these minor league spring training games posted anywhere?

Nah, but they'll post some Twitter videos here and there. We pretty much scan the daily line-ups for oddities (e.g. Lucas Erceg pitching two years ago), omissions (possible injuries) and trends (apparent affiliate levels, positions).

I’m in Phoenix right now. Are the minor league games run right during the major league games? We’ve been to the past two games (@Pads and @amfam yesterday), but would like to check out some of the minor leads action of possible.

I'm not on ground, so can only say that yesterday's games started at 1:00pm and they've been splitting the 4-affiliate set each day (2 games at home; 2 games at opponents' complex).

Thanks. I did see the brewers PD tweet today. AAA and AA at AmFam. Lower levels at the Dodgers.

Battling the Dodgers today. Here's the long-awaited return of RHP Brailin Rodriguez! (last pitched September 19, 2022), while Jared Albir (last pitched August 11, 2022) is also back. Finally, say hello to 18-year old LHP Osbriel Mogollon

Good to see Rodriguez back. And if I am tracking them correctly, that makes 5 DSL names from last season: the three big signings, Baez and Mogollon.

I wonder if this means that they are moving Low full-time to the mound? I don’t think he has been in a batting lineup yet.

I wouldn’t be opposed if they did. With two years in the system already his best path forward is probably to give his entire focus to one.

Unless I am forgetting someone, I believe also brings to three the number of hitters that were likely headed for full season rosters but who haven’t shown up in the lineup yet.

As far as hitters go, I think we're waiting to see OF Luis Castillo, 3B Ben Metzinger, OF Arbert Cipion, INF Alberis Ferrer, OF Reidy Mercado and possibly OF Luis Medina. But there's still 16 days until Wisconsin and Carolina are scheduled to play their first regular season game.

That’s what happens when I post without a spreadsheet in front of me. Hopefully any injuries are short-term

By the way, check out the Phrake Twitter timeline this AM for sweet photos of six other players.
