Burnes now with a 4.53 ERA since the All-Star break last year in 97.2 IP.

It’s a good thing that Burnes is angry with the Brewers and he has priced us out from signing him. I hope he doesn’t continue his poor pitching so we can get some type of compensation for him in July. He’s looking like Burnes from 2019 (especially giving up the long ball).

Weimer’s grass stains on the front of his jersey have multiple shades of green and blue (?). Is this proof that the field is artificially green (I.e. painted to look better than it should in early April?)

Um ok fun with numbers the 3 rookies now have 3ks in 3 straight PAs while Yelich managed a walk....can we go back to balls in play? I'm sorry I jinxed. But to be fair the Weimer K was as good as it gets pitch sequence while painting low outside corners.

A few years ago I was at a conference and met a rep for the company that supplied Miller Park field maintenance and asked that very question. The answer was yes most years they paint the grass early in the season so it looks green.

Guy really said imagine if a deep fly ball out actually went out. Braves probably had 2 of those same deep fly outs in the game. Every team's fans who don't win the WS or make the playoffs are going to feel they are the unluckily team in baseball.

Only small markets should be able to lay the claim as unlucky when having a great team that season. Markets like StL and bigger are lucky they can sign top tier FAs to their team or take on large contracts and not blink.
