Have you ever argued with a tree?

I’ve never interacted with anyone as contrary as you

You seem to want to contradict or debate every post

You - my friend - are exhausting

This is ridiculous. You--my friend--are incredibly rude, and can't seem to handle when people factually contradict your opinion. I remember early in the year when you were blowing up game threads with your incessant railing against Yelich and you couldn't take other people providing stats that indicated he was better than he had been playing. See how that looks now...And then there was your childish rant against Brock re. the articles, when he attempted to broker a middle ground and you for some bizarre reason stomped your feet until you got your way.

I'm providing stats that are relevant to the in-game discussion. If you have stats to provide, please do. But don't take it to personal levels.

You didn’t address the primary point in my post

Miller should have come off the bag to catch the ball

It was a bad throw. Miller might have been able to stop it from going into the dugout, but Willy should have made the easy throw to get the out.

But Miller's defense at 1B is not really the problem that people are making it out to be. He's played that position more than any other in his MLB career and grades out as a solid first baseman.

I didn’t get my way - the articles are still there & remain a nuisance

I figured they wouldn't let Williams go to Seattle.

Especially after Burnes got the call?

No, just that the best for the team is that Williams rest.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

His play at 1B doesn’t pass the eye test

I like him a ton as a hometown player

His bat has been a positive on a team struggling most of the season offensively

I have no problem with Miller's defense at 1b.  We have had much worse.  He's is serviceable.  I'm more concerned about his bat crashing.  His overall numbers are fine, but trending in the wrong way...

Monthly OPS: Apr/Mar: .660, May: .995, June: 585, July: 566

This is similar to last year where he started off hot and then went cold for the rest of the year.

You must have missed my thread where I owned my over- reaction to Yelich. I acknowledged that I was wrong.

I’ve also posted MANY times recently on his success & expressed excitement over his All-Star worthy season to date.

I'll take the objective data. And then anecdotally, there was a hard-hit ball he got to last night that Rowdy never could've dreamed of getting to. Range is that of a 2nd/3rd baseman which is just as important, if not moreso, than diving for throws that are off-line.

This. His defense is good for a 1B, but his offense is not. If Rowdy is not going to hit, we need to look outside of the organization.

Rowdy is another low bar

Votto - even at his age - is superior to Miller & Tellez

At least to the eye test that I prefer over analytical data

Votto couldn't dream of getting to that ball either at this stage of his career.

I’m pretty sure we don’t want to get into a “shoot out” with the Reds & their dynamic offense

We need to shut them down & someone eek out a win today

Okay - you win

You are always right

I’m clueless

Sorry I had an opinion you disagree with
