I love watching Stroud throw. It's like he's shooting darts.

Panther fans have got to be crying watching this....they picked the wrong guy and gave up drafting 1 overall this next year on top of it

Carolina is the definition of a poverty franchise.  That just keeps looking worse and worse.

I don’t think the overall record for the Panthers would have changed if they went with Stroud.  The Panthers just have no offensive talent on their team.  Their OL is also bad.  It doesn’t matter who the QB is if they don’t have anyone to throw to or are constantly on their back due to the OL being a turnstile.

You can’t just draft a QB without also giving that QB some weapons on offense.  The Panthers went with the get the QB and then ???? strategy.

Refs give Chiefs free timeout for Mahomes to scramble around for a new helmet…alright whatever, player safety.

However, he then can’t actually put it on and strap it, so they run a play, and he gets obliterated.

If he can’t strap the helmet, he needs to be kicked out of the game until he can actually properly wear it. What’s the point of giving him a free timeout for safety and then let that happen?

I tend to disagree, as I think the Texans were viewed by most as being the bigger trainwreck of a franchise devoid of talent headed into the 2023 draft and were projected to win in the 5-6 game range by many preseason prognosticators while Carolina was in that 6-8 win range.  I'm not saying the Panthers underperformed based on their own respective talent level...but I think had they picked Stroud instead of Young they'd be in much better shape, because I thought Stroud was going to be a better NFL quarterback than Young.

Stroud has actually far exceeded my expectations in year 1, as I wasn't sure how much of what he did at OSU was due to the fact he was throwing to a bunch of 1st round WRs....but with that said headed into the draft I liked him alot better than Young.  Stroud just looks like an NFL quarterback, and Young looks like he's got a long ways to go even with better receiver talent around him to turn into a quality NFL quarterback, and the concerns over his size and arm talent are going to hound him.

The Panthers haven't had a winning season since 2017.  With the Panthers coming in with a 33-year old WR in Thielen and a RB by the name of Miles Sanders (who is that?) I am not sure why so many had them at 7.5 wins versus 6 wins for the Texans.  I think the Texans over performed but I don't think switching Stroud over to the Panthers gets them more than 5 wins.  Maybe they get to 4 wins instead of 2 but I am not sure that even happens.

Young has looked bad but he has no one to throw to and no one behind him to run the ball.  The OL also looks extremely weak.  Would the Panthers be better off at QB?  Yes they would be better off at QB but overall team wise I don't see them being better than what they are.  Then on the defensive side the Panthers are worse than the Bears on the pass rush which I didn't think was possible.  The Texans overall just have a better team than the Panthers and not just at QB.  If you switched Stroud with Young on the Texans I think Young does better with the Texans than he has done with the Panthers.  Stroud is the better QB and on the better team overall.  Young is stuck on an absolutely awful team with Young being the best talent on both sides and by a wide margin.  You can't say that about Stroud and the Texans, while Stroud is probably their best player it is not by as big of a gap as it is for Young with the Panthers.

Even though they are in our division I am happy for the lions fans.  Being a brewer fan gives me a soft spot for long suffering franchises(except Chicago ones)

Did anyone predict Tampa to be this good? That's exciting for them.

Eagles fell hard wow. That's like a 2014 Brewers collapse there, maybe worse since they were in the SB last year.

What a dumpster fire the Eagles are. I don’t know how you can keep Siriani after this. And all the players that quit on the season. Their “tackling” was atrocious last night.

94 Bills? Coming off of a boat load of super bowl appearances, Bills lost the last 3 games to miss the playoffs

Not even close to what the Eagles pulled off. The closest I can think of is Jay Cutler and the 2008 Broncos blowing a three game lead with three weeks to go.
