Frelick made a terrible error in judgement but if anything the result of that play is all he needs to have the lesson hammered home. I don't think one mistake reflects on his ability to be a plus defender in center field or any outfield position.

As fans, most of us knew this from the get go.  This isn't any kind of shocking news.

They failed to get any serious inning eating type arms in the off season, and it sure looks like the bullpen is going to pay the price.

True, but that was just a terrible time to learn that lesson.

Sure, I can think of better circumstances but it also definitely could have been much worse. There could have been men on base, or it happens in the playoffs, etc. Early April in a game where they never held a lead isn't that awful.

The point is making sure it doesn't ever happen again.
