  1. It's pure sarcasm and a running joke on this site. Every time someone accuses Attanasio of being cheap, I post the pic.
  2. Are they worried about service time with Lara? If so, I understand that, but at some point, if our current outfield (minus Chourio) continues to kill us, it will be time to make the change. I'm not up on the rules, but if we bring Lara up after June 1st, doesn't that help with the service time issue? I'm just not seeing it with Mitchell, and losing Lockridge hurts more that I care to admit. Love Sal, but we have to get better production from him, we just have to. We can't continue to have three or four guys hitting every night that are pretty much automatic outs. Something is going to have to give before it's too late.
  3. Would 2 homers, a triple, and 4 base hits total count? That's what he did today,
  4. Add in Mitchell Ks just for the hell of it.
  5. Is he producing at AAA yet? Would be nice if he could force his way into this line-up, but that just hasn't happened.
  6. Once again tonight, was it a BAEZ level tag?
  7. That is bogus. What an ass. Bad umping right there. That just shouldn't be allowed. Lame
  8. Why wouldn't we? It's still a stat, right?
  9. Dear Garrett Mitchell's Dad, Sal sucks too.
  10. Man, I am so bitter on Mitchell... I can honestly say, I don't believe he is ever going to be our answer to CF. I mean, he hasn't even been hurt yet and is giving us nothing of value. I would rather see Lockridge(hopefully his stay on the IL isn't too lengthy) out there, and I never would have thought I'd say that this season. I won't go as far as to say the same about Perkins though.
  11. But can he apply the tag like Baez? That is the burning question.
  12. They only chance we have at extending/locking up Miz is in the hopes he thinks security is more important than waiting around hoping he is still healthy when he has his first crack at a free agent contract. If he thinks he can pitch the next 6years and not get seriously hurt, then he isn't signing an extension with us, no possible chance. If he would like a shot at security and generational wealth, and would rather not risk it, then the chance exists. A slight very low % chance, but a chance none the less. I'm standing by what I said earlier though, that ship has sailed.
  13. I will be benching Harrison in both fantasy leagues I have him in, so I expect 6 innings of one run baseball, with 1-2 earned runs and the win! You are all welcome!
  14. Perkins was 100% predictable. Why is everyone saying it won't be long before Yelich is back? Won't be long as in a week, 2 weeks, longer? I'll believe it when I see it and my bet is that he'll be out at least 3 more weeks, its Yelich after all, and he isn't known for being a fast healer. The truth in most Yelich injuries is pretty fluid.
  15. Like Turang, I'm afraid that ship has sailed... Concentrate on locking up Made.
  16. The Cubs and Mets have discussed a Freddy Peralta trade, according to WSCR-AM’s Bruce Levine. The Mets aren’t bailing on the season just yet, but if things don’t get better in the coming weeks, Peralta, a free agent to be, would become one of the top names on the trade market. The Mets gave up Jett Williams and Brandon Sproat to acquire Peralta and Tobias Myers from the Brewers in January. Peralta has opened the season 2-3 with a 3.12 ERA through eight starts. Related Chicago Cubs 1h ago Source: Bruce Levine GROSS!
  17. His entire career is unremarkable. He is not, and has never been a difference maker. He's a guy. It felt like we signed him because we had to, or it was just easy, or there was nothing left for us... Meh, it is what it is.
  18. Who is blocking Fischer currently? We always have nothing at 3B, and now you want to trade away what looks to be our future 3B? I like Buxton, but he hasn't been hurt yet this season, so you know it's coming... It would be a risky trade, and I'm not against getting him, but a guy like Fischer is too rich for my blood.
  19. Great insight, and it will be worth re-visiting at the all-star break and season's end. Thanks for the information.
  20. There is no timeframe, however, if planning to see Pena, Fischer, Adamczewski, Dinges, and Payne all together, I doubt they will ALL still be here mid June. The sooner you go the better, as I'm expecting movement in the next couple of weeks. To be honest, I can't believe that Payne is still here, and as well as Adamczewski is playing, he might be the next to go... Fischer's days must be numbered as well. Probably a good chance all 3 are gone by the end of May.
