    I was really relieved, but still pissed it had to be the Dodgers of all teams. I pretty much had already talked myself into it being the Dodgers, but it still angers me anyway. I'm relieved that we still have all those top prospects, even if only for another day I guess. I really hope we don't do anything stupid now to try and counter the Dodgers. I'd prefer to roll with what we have, and see what happens. Trading top prospects for tier 2 players won't narrow the gap enough imo. What good does it do to add Mason Miller now when we may never be in the situation to win vs the Dodgers in a playoff game anyway.

    Dodgers just got even better, I see no need to include any top prospects in any other deals for this deadline... Stand pat, and continue to build for the future, after the lockout is over. Who says the Dodgers are even done yet? MLB is broken...

    Now that the Dodgers have Skubal, does it pay for us to mortgage our future with a different player(s)? I say absolutely not. Dodgers just got even better, no need to give away top prospects any longer.

    Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports that the Dodgers are “making progress” on a trade for Tarik Skubal. Heyman notes that the talks are centered on Zyhir Hope and Emmet Sheehan. It’s worth noting that Hope was scratched from Saturday’s game for Double-A Tulsa, so that’s probably not coincidental. Heyman does caution that the trade isn’t done yet, but Skubal is almost assuredly going to be dealt over the weekend, and there aren’t many teams that can match what the Dodgers have in their farm system.     Ok, if this is true, and he is required to play, then he needs to be moved to the bottom third of the order at the very least. Having him hit 1-4 is asinine at this point. 5-6 is pretty stupid too.

    We are going to have to clean that up before the playoffs come around. Those wasted challenges early are really going to have an impact in playoff games...

    If those two players are traded for Skubal, and just those two players, that would be pretty even with us giving #5 Adamczewski and #13 Ragsdale. I'm not comfortable with that... I'm sure there would be other players as well, but damn...

    Ok, ok, ok, I'll bench him on all three of my fantasy teams starting tomorrow. I should have benched him weeks ago, but this gives me a good reason. When I bench him, like all the other players I bench for poor fantasy play, they go off, so you can all thank me when it happens with Chourio tomorrow...
