What continues to be strange for me in the Greg Young Jr. transition is they are still using all his promotional bits during the telecast. The entire transition, given its proximity to the start of the season, continues to be an adjustment. But, to @MudcatsfaninBrunsCO's point: Chris has been fantastic in game 1. If this is what we get moving forward, we are very very lucky.

I know, That was odd in the first cast with Colin. I do like how we have broadcast reads now. I think we might diff people till they move bc no one will want to drive to Wilson from Raleigh area.

Another high RPM K. What's wild is Rodriguez only sits 89-91 mph on the gun. BUT, he rips those consistently in the high 2600-2800 RPM spin metric. He just plays. 

Meanwhile, Gasser. Two up. Two down. Both K's looking. Whewww baby call this hot rod UP. We need this Gasssssss. He's once again hitting 95 mph with ease.

Rodriguez just conceded his first run of his evening on a Blake Mitchell towering blast to RF. Whewww he got all of that one. 108 mph off the lumber. It was a dead center 4-seamer. So, Rodriguez compeltes 5 2/3 IP with 6 K and 1 ER. Heck of an outing. 5-1 Mudcats lead. Looks like Figueroa to the bump.

Guilarte sliding web gem for the 2nd out here in the 7th keeps a run off the board and maintains the 5-2 Mudcats lead for Figueroa. Guilarte: good at baseball.

And, the Nasvhille feed (after having several hiccups through 2 innings) has apparently blacked out on us here in the 3rd. What an absolute quagmire broadcasts have been all season in Nashville. What the heck is going on down there?
