How can you not be romantic about Brewers baseball: Fans gripe about Big Woo's sole inning in a 10-0 shellacking. "He isn't available in Game 5!" THIS is why he was rostered. THIS is why he was given the choice of when to pitch. The culture started with Murphy. AND, Murphy knows people. And, he knows how incredible Big Woo is as a historic Brewer and organizational stalwart. THIS says it all right here. This team was so much bigger than the sport and they overtook it.

To watch Robin Yount wax poetic in a World Series Champion Brewers locker room into the willing wanting ears of one RHP Logan Henderson. Folks, I pleaded with Robin Yount to stay a Brewer in 4th Grade as a student at Hillside Elementary. I was on Channel 4 news. He meant everything to me. His was the only Brewers jersey I ever wore as a kiddo. To see him in that locker room waxing poetic to Logan as to how this '...made an old man happy!' healed his old wounds of the 1982 loss and his inability to get back to that stage....it means everything. What a season. What a post-season. What a night.

Well, we don't need to pass on the nostalgia. We 'need' to reframe it. Put that 82 team in its rightful place: a GREAT Brewers team that fell short after losing Fingers to injury 😊 Nobody can tell me Rollie's injury didn't have a devastating impact. AND, that's just fine now. We had a memorable season in 1982. We waited an awful long time. BUT, we built a dynasty of excellence. Hopefully, that includes lifting more trophies.

Precisely. The error - and, let's be real, Bauers average scoop ability at 1B - set things in motion. A DP ball gets seeing eyes because the infield is in trying to prevent a run from scoring as the primary play. The chopper also goes into the outfield because the infield is in. This team has been phenomenal all post-season. And, they have answered all adversity in a manner demonstrating they can shake something like this off. I trust they can do it one more time.

I mean YES. He also sprinted like a cheetah around 2B, up 10-0, when Joey O popped out to shallow CF. THIS is what makes our Brewers great. 100% effort on everything in any scenario.

I don't know if this matters - I know what you are posting is accurate - but the AFL Standings at the AFL website shows they counted the Scottsdale/Mesa tie as a 'Win'. They list Scottsdale as 10-6 in the standings tied with the also 10-6 Surprise Saguaros.
