  1. Frias with a lefty-on-lefty grand slam off the RF light pole. Hokay then!
  2. I'm an Old. I legit thought to myself: didn't he cover those three frames last night? LOL. He covered the 10th. Yikes!
  3. I mean, Yoho gave up those runs. Sure. AND, they asked him to cover multiple innings last night. Then two ups today? That's asking for a lot. Not sure I understand the thinking there.
  4. Ament showed things again in the final Bucks SL game. Just needs to fill out and keep grinding. There is promise there for sure - big relief. AND, Burries is a starting Guard Day 1. What an absolute stud. He showed steady improvement using his body to draw contact while still finishing throughout SL - he's so strong. So composed. Plays hard on the defensive end. Shooter. Better handle than suspected. Unbelievable draft pick. It's already there. Great way for the young Bucks to end there Vegas time:
  5. Nieman's best outing since late May. He just completed his fourth frame of scoreless work: 4 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 4 K, 0 R. You love to see it.
  6. More importantly, LHP JD Thompson opened with a 2.0 IP of 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 0 R work in his first rehab stint. Let's hope he stays healthy! It's now 3-0 in the Top of the 6th. Hughes has 2 K's in 3 AB. I opened the Gamecast to see him strike out on 3 pitches. Ouch.
  7. Such a misleading article headline! I booked flights to Nashville to report on Koenig's progress. I'm here in what was supposed to be his Nashville digs...and, lo and behold, he's in Arizona?!?
  8. Quite the cliff-hanger opening paragraph in the Shuckers post-game report: Fifth player in Biloxi Shuckers franchise history? Which current Shucker is the 1st?! Tantalizing! 🤭
  9. Wherever you may be may you experience clean air. I know the upper Midwest and the Great Lakes out to the East Coast are getting the brunt of those Ontario wildfires. Out this way, we had 2,000+ lightning strikes across Eastern Oregon and SE Washington in less than 24 hours and now we've seen over 100,000 acres burn in that same time frame - these fires are just beginning and they are many. I woke up to thick smoke blowing in from the Southwest and the mountain range some two miles across from our farm's front porch was shrouded by the thick smoke. This morning in the Boundary Waters of Northern Minnesota - an area I spent summer portaging many a time in my 20's - the good folks up that way saw an additional 13,000 + lightning strikes into an area of preexisting multiple 10's of thousand acre wildfire burns. This new version of life on Earth is perilous and we face massive uncertainty in the years ahead. BUT, we can still pray for each other and help each other in these times. Heck, even the Brewers are under threat from a cancellation. You Midwesterners are getting an unfortunate taste of what mid to late summers are like in the Inner-Mountain West nearly every year. It is brutal. Be safe wherever you are and take care of One another.
  10. We are once again back in a recent and familiar Playoff push for the DSL'ers. Here's hoping they can cross that bridge and get into those DSL Playoffs!
  11. Man. That's so tough. He was really having one of the most splendid and under the radar seasons. Maybe he can pick up the Wags post-UCL velo boost. 🤗
  12. He is truly having an insane season as a 17-yo. Just a couple seasons ago we had that mid-summer Jose Anderson HR watch. He faded. He also never remotely touched Matos' whole package. This is one absurdly tantalizing prospect.
  13. Congrats to one of this season's most pleasant surprises: RHP Cameron Wagoner brings his goods to Nashville and the International League. Correspondingly, after a season of struggle, RHP Will Childers heads back to Biloxi.
  14. SHUCKERS MAKE MULTIPLE MOVES PRIOR TO SERIES OPENER AGAINST PENSACOLA BILOXI, MS – The Biloxi Shuckers and Milwaukee Brewers have announced the following transactions prior to tonight's game; — RHP Cameron Wagoner promoted to Triple-A Nashville — OF Jacob Hurtubise promoted to Triple-A Nashville — RHP Will Childers transferred to Biloxi from Triple-A Nashville The active roster stands at 27 players.
  15. I think the addendum here is: "Never trust the Bucks." ?
  16. Matos hitting a HR every 14 PA's as a 17-year-old with a 20:17 K:BB ratio with a 15.87 K%/13.49 BB% is BANANAS. 12-of-13 SB as well. My goodness!
  17. 👀 This 'Aryan' Insider feller is the One who originally put out the 4-year $60 Millon area deal for GTJ before it happened.
  18. I have a hard time believing they'll find anything here solid enough to punish the Bucks or Klutch. It seems performative more than anything. Do we really think Adam Silver would take on Rich Paul? The Bucks, on the other hand?
  19. We needed this Ament G4 game tonight. I can see the taller Khash Money vision here after tonight's game. The kid can already handle the rock quite well - moves a bit like Middleton, honestly, but he's longer. He looked so much better playing with control and confidence we hadn't seen previously! No Burries so he got more of an on-ball role and did some nice attack and initiating. Hit some corner 3's. We can build on this. This was a great first step building block for the young man. As a direct aside, I really think the Bucks should look at signing Zack Austin to an Exhibit 10 deal. Played in the Thunder org just like Cormac and is super athletic, plays above the rim and can really defend. I see a path there. He also had some of the more exciting plays throughout - has a bit of an entertainment value.
  20. This feels like lefty bullpen insurance and the cost is taking on McCullers (who might be able to give depth MLB innings this season). Gordon will likely cost a prospect flyer. Someone like a Tayden Hall and/or a Manuel Rodriguez? Spitballing. But with the Brewers shown capacity to take successful targeted Triple-A relievers to their next level, Houston likely has to get some type of mid-grade asset return.
  21. Totally. Worth the quick read. He dives in really succinctly to Frank's current lower velo but why it is playing and how that projects to when he is further along on his climb back to mid-90's. Great closing paragraph too:
