Been saying this all along. Launch angle for contact hitters is counterproductive. 

Both Frelick and Turang are excellent contact hitters who played with launch angles early on and their performance showed it. Line drives, finding holes on the ground and going opposite field is the contact hitters strong suit.

The best part is that they hit the same amount of long balls anyway..

Launch angle has its place, but definitely secondary to contact.
