Breakdown

It might not have initially looked like it, but the Brewers found a path to another good week of baseball. After dropping the first two games to the Dodgers, the Brewers would take advantage of some poor play and win the next two games to earn a split. The AL Central leaders would prove to be less of an issue in the weekend series, with the Brewers completing a sweep behind their pitching staff against the Guardians.

At the end of the week, the Brewers have the largest division lead in baseball, are a season-high twenty games over .500, and find themselves in tight contention for an opening-round bye. Not bad, to say the least.
